You have to forgive her for letting everyone believe she had visited the troops there. She doesn't know much about the world outside of Wasilla. She probably visited a soldier in Anchorage and thought it was Iraq.

Ah, the benefits of never saying anything. You can have Maria posting stories about how you visited the troops and if you don't say anything you haven't technically lied, you just have to try to remember what the truth is in case you're ever asked under oath.

Quite frankly, I don't believe anything a politician says any more. They're as bad as evangelists or used car slaesmen.

Who cares about $arah Palin? She will get the travel experience as the US first Lady!
Or will she be a real president? 50% of the people in the USA are willing to vote for her!
Mc Cain without PALIN would not make 43% so the problem is whats wrong with these people?
Are they blind? Are they stupid? Are they desperate for a woman as VP?

First: I have not met one single woman who will vote for another without considering the ISSUES. And, as I have said elsewhere, the joke is on those of us who have longed for the very option of voting a woman into the White House, for here is a woman who makes Margaret Thatcher look like Mother Theresa. It is all the more alarming given McCain's physical and mental health.
Several presidents and vice-presidents did not travel extensively before they took office, and I see no reason why the Govenor of Alaska should have done so. It in itself is not an issue for me. Dishonesty is an issue.
If the majority of the American people continue to vote for candidates based on good looks, knee jerk patrotism, and misleading slogans,
we will continue in our downward spiral. Let's hope people will vote on the issues, and not the spin - hell, let's hope all the votes will be counted, and another election not stolen !

I agree with you Pamylee. Dishonesty is the issue. Senators Obama and Biden must systematically and succinctly dispute each and every McCain/Palin lie.

So an anonymous reportcalls someone a liar and yet the report itself says she was at least within the borders of Iraq.

As far as liars, prehaps people should start looking at the candidates with their brains and not party affilates.

Sen Biden has done a lot of good and I respected him but as soon as he was named as Obama's running mate, he started contradicting himself.

I gues it comes down to those who want Obama will say anything against the republicans they can and vice versa.

With all the lies being told it makes it more difficult for the public to elect the best candidate.

I go to the candiadates records and check to see how they voted in the past on the issues.

Sen Obama has indeed lied on his passed voting.

Joe Biden clearly stated Obama was not ready for the presidency and as soon as chosen, claims otherwise.Obama's finacial donation are from the mideast and China for the most part. I think that is terrible and should not be allowed.

Obama is said to be shuch a good speaker yet he doesn't sound eloquent to me so many signs and ums etc.

mcCain has a great record for Patriotism and that is needed for a president and yet even though he says he take full blmae for his cheating on his first wife, he still did, While that is not uncommon, it does show he put his own needs above his integrity or is his integrity based on what he wants,

Obama syas change we can believe in and yet he doesn't say what change or how he will change things etc.

i consider this news story to simply be a bias against republicans and do not for one minute give it any validity.

Regardless of how she appears in public, how well she reads a telepromter, how well or poorly she may speak, she has some scary ideas. Such as listing endangered animals as not being endangered, her stand on drilling, her stand on aerial kill, and I am sick of women being told what they can and cannot do with their bodies. We have no right to judge. No, I do not believe abortion should be used as a form of birth control, as some seem to, but each situation is different and should be treated so. and I would rather see creationism taught by parents or guardians, not the schools, because I don't believe church and state should be so joined at the hip. There are too many religions in the US to start teaching them in the schools. The repubs will glamourize everything that surrounds Palin, whether they see her as right or wrong, and they always stand firm for their party, which is not always in the best interest of the people. But, they never give in. Voting no gets us NOwhere, I think it is a huge mistake, if people don't want Palin in office, they have to keep her out, and we can only do that by being vocal and active. Amazingly, there are still an unbleivable amount of Americans who support Bush, people be ready!

Haha...I keep getting an error on the SNL site. Must be too busy.
I just wonder how we have become what we have become. The stupidity of the majority dumbfounds me. We have and are becoming the movie "Idiocracy". If you haven't seen it, I suggest you rush out and rent it NOW. I used to be afeared of "Soylent Green", now I see my fears were unwarranted, we are "Idiocracy".
You know people, they ALL lie. They are all fighting for a WELL paying job. We all lie. The few who don't lie or actually shoot straight from the hip are called QUACKS. I put my trust in those Quacks. It just goes to prove what I have stood by since I worked for a high profile architectural firm, HONESTY IS NOT THE BEST POLICY. People are punished for being honest. Praised for lying.
I'm still honest in the end. I don't care. And if my honesty hurts, then so be it.
Kucinich/Paul, the only two who were brave enough to be totally honest, but were/are considered Quacks.

An anagram of "Sarah Palin" is "Ash Pan Liar". How appropriate considering how many lies she has been caught in.

She also claims to have traveled to various other countries as well... Turns out she never even got off the plane. They were just refueling stops.

In the last eight years, we've gone from a national budget surplus to an insurmountable national deficit. Seven years after 9/11, Bin Laden is still at large. We've lost more than 4,000 American soldiers fighting in a country that wasn't involved in the attacks on ours. We and the rest of the world have witnessed evidence of US government sponsored torture -- and seen the world-wide good will that 9/11 garnered us squandered to pursue the interests of big oil. We've gone from fulfilled dreams of home ownership to record numbers of home foreclosures. Retirement savings that were growing are now devastated by market declines.
GET ON MESSAGE AND STAY ON MESSAGE. McCain = Bush, the economy sucks, our national security situation is more dire than ever due to the failed Republican policies. Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat...

Defend Children, you said "Obama's financial donations are from the Mideast and China for the most part. I think that is terrible and should not be allowed."

Excuse me, but that is a big fat lie. Most of Obama's donations came from American citizens, not corporations, lobbyists or from overseas. Last year three Palestinian brothers did attempt to make $33,000 in illegal donations to the Obama campaign via the internet. They wrongly identified themselves as American citizens and virtually all of the money, about $33,500, was returned. See Obama Camp Routed Out Illegal Donations from Palestinians.

Your comments make it obvious that you don't like Obama, but how can you say "With all the lies being told it makes it more difficult for the public to elect the best candidate" and then in the next breath tell a whopper yourself? I respect people's right to vote for the candidate of their choice, but I don't respect anyone who is willing to vote for someone who advocates shooting wolves and bears from airplanes. Your profile says "To prevent child abuse/ domestic abuse." It is common knowledge that people who are cruel to animals often become people who abuse women and children. Maybe you should take your own advice and use your brain when you vote.

How can a prolife, moose devouring, anti global warming be a good example to my daughter?
This is not about woman or a man.Hilary was not just a woman. She is an intelligent woman. To think that anyone will switch parties and vote for Palin because she is woman is a moron.
Wake up people. Dont let this happen. The last 8 yrs are an example. 9/11, Katrina, Financial Market crashing, Recession, inflation and oh yeah the IRAQ war .... please wake up ....VOTE, Vote Democrats thats the difference between the Republican and us... they VOTE...

The ONLY reason McCain selected Palin is to do exactly what has been done...create excitement. He did not think past the election. We can ALL see very plainly that McCrazy is going to suffer a stroke or heart attack before his first 4 yrs r over...then what?? We would have an inexperienced, scary, mean, oil thirsty, neglegent "pitbull" running our beautiful country??? And I had alot of faith in this election & the people of this country before Palin....I just knew Obama was the 1 to save us. Now, everywhere everyday, I see McCrazy Palin crap. I am beginning to worry a bit about how intelligent America really is. The REDNECK SO CALLED "BUBBA" VOTE IS GONNA SCREW US. I truly HOPE people caN SEE PAST THEIR OWN NOSES and wake up to smell the coffee before we get burned with it. There IS ONLY ONE SOLUTION....we MUST get out & vote for Obama. If ONLY for the simple fact that he is PRO- RENEWABLE ENERGY and AGAINST DRILLING!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah...& what about FREEDOM? Here's one for the bubbas....how free are we when your 12 yr old daughter cannot even have control over her own body when she gets pregnant from a boy who will never b a father & her life is about to be ruined....?

This is a very serious election people.Probably the most crucial decision we will all make together. Please truly consider the ramifications of having those 2 crazies in office. Think about our everyday lives. The price of gas, milk, electricity, food, water, rent or the morgtage....and then on top of it all, the environment, animal & HUMAN rights. It has been dire and unhappy for TOO LONG! Please let us come together..ALL of us, and bring a young, fresh open-minded perspective to this American Dream that has turned into a nightmare. We all have very similar values here..we ALL CARE, right? So set an example & let us create a MOVEMENT that will blow them away. Let us be the Americans we can be...proud, strong...& SMART. Let's show them what we are made of!!! LET'S SHOW THE WORLD THAT WE CAN STAND UNITED AND THAT WE ARE UNWAVERING WHEN IT COMES TO LOVING OUR COUNTRY! DEEP DOWN WE DO KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT...even if it rubs us the wrong way..that is what VALUES are for!

Yes Lacey..thank you. See America...people in other countries are watching us and what we do. If we are to ever get back in good standing in the world, we need to consider who is better equipped to do so. By equipped I mean..open minded, fair, diplomatic and healthy enough not to stroke out during the next 4 yrs. By being selfless and open to change, we are going to make history. At the same time, the world will see that we are in fact NOT a country of ignorance and bigotry, but a country who stands tall in the face of diversity and embraces humans for who they are & not what they are.
