Stop health insurance companies from potentially using new age guidelines as a means to restrict access to mammograms.

Anytime they change guidelines I can't help think it's to save money when heatlh should be the most important aspect of medical care. I can only imagine how many deaths are prevented with early detection. My mother had breast cancer and I often wonder how much pain she could have avoided if she had had mammograms starting at age 40 (she hated going to a doctor so she chose to wait until she started having symptoms). Happily noted, signed and shared dear Arwen for you and in memory of your mother.

Your signature has been recorded. One has to understand that when you have a system of health care that is built on Profit......health goes out the window. Look at every other aspect of business that is on a For Profit, it has the Oil Industry cutting corners which has lead to oil spills, the recent explosion for the fertilizer plant was to cut corners to save money, the Corporations paying as little wage as they can to their employees, so why do you think that the Health System based on Profit is any different?

Do you really think that CEO and Shareholders care about you, your Mother, your child, or your husband? No, they could care less, they look at bottom line and if not profitable enough, something will be cut, and it will be at the cost to your health and family. Fight for a true Universal Health Care system, otherwise more will die for this For Profit system of health care, that is neither healthy nor caring.
