WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -Mother and son huddled together, battered and beaten, in the bathroom - sobbing, wondering why no one came to help. Surely the neighbors had heard their screams. The walls are thin, the screen doors flimsy in this violence

This is what happens when the housing system groups low income families all together in these projects they end up breeding crime and violence.
There should be better housing than these projects and the undesirables should be weeded out .
Also the parents of these young criminals are responsible for their actions because they had a responsiblity to bring them up with good moral values ,,which obviously they didn't.

Kimberly said it the best but then you have to look at the way people keep going back untill it happens again or they will not tell who did it to them ...any way you look at it ,,,its wrong

Thanks to Bush for cutting funds for security for these places so he can keep his own agenda. But I'd like to share (I can't quote in exact words) teachings of Mahatma Gandhi - Violence springs from these seven "blunders": Wealth without work. Pleasure without conscience. Knowledge without character. Commerce without morality. Science without humanity. Worship without sacrifice. Politics without priniples.

I hope all those involved in this crime against this lady and her son will be brought to justice.

Governments are like children with a bright new toy. They build these housing units, make them look nice, subsidize, get their money and basically throw them to the side. If they are interested in taking care of them...who will be. Theo nes who did this crime will hopefully pay by getting the same treatment whereever they go. It is all very sad. And the neighbors who didnt care... I hope they are not the next victims. Whatever happened to compassion and just plain old human kindness?

The comment that the mother of one of the boys made when she said her son wasn't a rapist made me want to scream after just reading that his DNA was found in a condom at the scene.

The article certainly made the rapists look like they were victims too. I just don't buy it though. Too many good decent people come out of situations worse than theirs. Frankly I am really glad they are being charged as adults and I hope that the others are caught and charged the same.

Really pleased that the victims are getting counseling and hope that they have emotional support elsewhere also.
