There comes a time in every dog owner's life when poop dominates the conversation. Welcome to not-so-nice aspects of dog ownership.

my vet said there are "undigested bits in the poo" that may entice the dog to eat it. I just scoop the poo right after they are done. thanks Tamara!

We try to clean up as quickly as possible, but it's hard in winter. My two shepherds eat everything they can find ~ their own, cat, deer, rabbit, turkey. Huckleberry, my collie, has much more discriminating tastes.

So many mysteries and life and the dog is certainly one of them! A pleasant mystery (the dog itself, not the eating poop...except purrhaps for the dog...) but certainly one won't see many cats trying this one.

as gross as it might be my Vet told me ---it's actually recycled food so really nothing wrong with it!

Best to clean it up immediately as it also may contain parasites (if from another animal).

the title made me LOL!
Ive been lucky my dog only has tried to eat stray cat poop on a few occassions rather than like other doggies that eat it at EVERY opportunity.
Its the smell of the food in it..must smell very appetizing! ug!
love the picture as well..lol

When I was dog-sitting I took the dogs to a park where one of them dug up some poop that was buried deeply under a pile of leaves. I didn't realize what it was until she'd already gotten a few mouthfuls. So even if you always scoop your own dog's poop, there still might be some lying around for them to eat. =(
