Is Israel Mitt Romney's New Swing State?

His visit to Jerusalem could be a turning point for the GOP. Why a tide of super-PAC funds and Obama's shaky diplomatic relations might loosen Democrats' grip on Jewish voters.

Ok. There is a sentence in this article that needs to be brought to everyone's attention; If this statement is true, it should destroy Obama's chances of getting the Jewish vote at least it should:Obama spokespeople have declined to knowledge Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in press conferences."
Why is this? Obama is simply pro Muslim?
He feels Israel has no right to exist?
He doesn't see Israel as the only hope in the Middle East?
He is so pissed at the Prime Minister, he will allow his people to say anything stupid.
When it comes to this administration, all are possible, if not probable.

Benjamin Netanyahu is not that dumb to ever trust Mitt Romney. He would much rather deal with someone who is sane than Romney. These above statements are nothing but Regressionist spin, and we all know it! Netanyahu does not believe any lies that Obama is pro Muslim (he is not, he is Christian), nor does anyone believe that Israel has no right to exist! THIS IS SUCH CRAP - I CANNOT EVEN BELIEVE SOMEONE FOUND IT TO PUBLISH IT! Obvously, no real foreign affairs knowledge here.

The Iisraelis would never embrace anyone who follows Mormanism! It goes against everything in which they believe. This administration is in a very strong place insofar as their foreign relationships are concerned and all Mitt Romney has so far succeeded in doing is to insult the UK and now he is race baiting - very dangerous, and not impressing the ANY of our foreign allies. If there are any problems with Israel, all we have to do is send Hillary Clinton there for a visit - she will probably have to go anyway once Romney gets done over there. He is dangerous and we all know it! i cannot wait until this election is over and he this snake and Mrs. snake slither back under their rocks! The gold plated one with a horse barn!

Allan, stop, just stop.

Abbas slams Obama for saying Jerusalem to stay Israel's undivided capital

Maggie: "nor does anyone believe that Israel has no right to exist! " Everyone that reads the foreign news KNOWS that "wiping Israel off the map" has been stated over and over again by the President of Iran, of Iraq and all leaders of Islam! Obama has never said it though, but he also has never stood up for Israel until now when he gave them some $$s for political gain. Has Obama ever once said that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel? I think not..........

As far as Mitt Romney "offending" the Brits is really not true. If you listen to what he said everyone should hear that he was just repeating the news about the lack of security that was in the news the week before, but then stated he was sure it would turn out alright. It was very childish to throw offense in his face.

What is the matter with everyone these days being offended by everything!!!

Personally I'm having a hard time with either of these running for President. BOTH OF THEM ARE SHADY. Obama lies so much that I'm surprised he can even look at himself in the mirror. Romney's religion scares me and he has done some shady business. So what's a person to do? I just wish the media and everyone that listens to them would PLEASE GROW UP!! This battering like children is so annoying and doesn't give anyone the right intelligent information needed to make sound decisions for voting.

I've watched him on the Tv, what he says is typical before elections. I see right through him, and I guess that the Jews are not that stupid to believe in him. The questions A. Yorkowitz has are plain silly.

Considering, what Obama did to the whole Middle East and how he allowed the Muslim Brotherhood people into positions of power within US government, I won't be surprised if Obama will get support from Islamic radicals only!

Obama deliberatele threw US logest Egyptian ally Mubarak to the dogs, and did not raise a finger to stop Islamists from taking over the Egypt. Obama ignored his chance to speak to Syrian Christians, and gave his ear to Muslim Brotherhood only. The whole US policy in the Middle East was a disaster for democracy and moderate Muslims, and brought benefits only to Islamic radicals.

Let those, who don't mind bowing to Saudi King vote for Obama. I will stay with Israel, with Coptic Christians, with Moderate Muslims of Egypt and many others. I know, this is much less than CAIR - Saudi money can buy, but this is my choice.

Eric, Pollard is kept in a jail for 25 years - this is much longer than Syrian spy got, or Chinese spy got. Though Pollard passed to Israel info about Arab states.

As you mentioned, USS Liberty was a known mistake with Israel thinking about Egyptian ship of the same shape. Israel paid for the mistake in full, compensated all 34 victims and apologized.

In comparison, when Iranian guided Hesbola attacked sleeping US and French peace keepers in Beirut, killing 299 men sleeping in their barracks, Hesbola did not pay compensation and did not apologize. And this seems to be somehow ignored recently.

There was a segment on NPR about this very topic today. I just heard a few minutes of it but it seems there is cause to be worried about Obama's relationship with Israel and the support of Jews in the coming election. Why they (or anyone) would vote for Romney is beyond me. Obama may not have the best relationship with Netanyahu but I don't think Mitt does either and he is an opportunist which I hope Jews will see. I would hope that Obama will see Jerusalem as the capital because it is a vital place to Israel and it would be rude and stupid of him to not do so.e
Maggie, are you thinking no on in the world want to see Israel blown off the planet because that is completely untrue. Debra is certainly correct in that Iran has said on many occasions that they will launch attacks on Israel and wipe it off the face of the Earth. They are a small country but have survived so far. Hews have been expelled and force to move for centuries and will survive for many more. As Tevya says in Fiddler on the Roof, may be that's why they always wear their hats. I don't support all of Israel's actions but as a Jew I ant them to survive.

The "Election 2012 - Smoke, Mirrors and Hot Air" will examine the acrimonious rhetoric surrouding the Presidential election.  This race is not like any other and it certainly "ain't" pretty. The campaign is being fought through distortion, manipulation and outright lies.

Jed will be interviewing TomCat of Politics Plus with Tom to discuss the nature of the ad campaigns of both candidates.
