When Romney ran the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City in 2002, it was just months after the terror attacks on Sept. 11 and security was on everyone's mind. But Romney wasn't too worried about Osama bin Laden or al-Qaida, he told the Deseret News. No...

Amazing. What does one say to such a moronic fear? I do demonstrations for the animals (KFC the circus, fur, vegan info, etc.) and yep, we are pretty scary. We stand on the sidewalk with signs and handouts and we talk. Pretty scary stuff, maybe not ALF but people cringe when they see us

Romney had a Very Odd Obsession in 2002 (just months after the terrorist attack on 9-11). Animal Rights Activists have been known to throw red liquids which stimulate blood, or even blood itself, to make the case that people should not wear fur, & that torturing & killing animals IS WRONG, but who (especiall y such a short time after 9-11 would be more fearful of animal rights activists than of terrorists??? Had he not seen the horrors of 9-11?!!! -Romney does have many odd concerns & thoughts, one for example was him putting his dog in a crate on top of his car & driving from Massachusetts to Canada --& he and his wife stating that they always thought the dog liked this. ABSURD! & WITHOUT A DOUBT ANIMAL CRUELTY!!!! Their dog should have been/should be taken away from them and be given a new loving home with sane people who have common sense, -in that there's no telling what he will do to the dog next.

Now lets hope she changes his stupid outsooken mind on this one Perhaps it was said spontaneously without much thought or perhaps he really is an unfeeling moron

I would like Beverly to read this article: http://articles.boston.com/2012-01-08/news/30605151_1_romney-family-mitt-romney-dog [page 2] because her version is not accurate. Whether you like the person or not, you should be careful to pass on accurate and truthful information.

I think taking one statement made 10 years ago and blowing it up as “an obsession” is absurd and most unfair. It was an odd statement and an unrealistic one, but hardly an obsession nor a reason to condemn a man. I share his fear and loathing of animal rights activists, so you would condemn me too.

Now before you blast me and ‘correct me’, please don’t bother. I’m not a Liberal or a Republican or a US citizen. I do not support any candidate. You are the people who have to make that important decision at your election. I just hope you can separate the facts from the emotional manipulation, muck-raking, hype and BS and make the right decision. I think this article falls into that category.

Ha ha! Flagged another spammer! I'm getting GOOD at this!!
Animal reights activists, eco activists are lumped into the terrorist label by bored reporters that are too lazy to get a real story.
I have done protests, written letters, and can assure you, I'm too slow, too old, too clumbsy to break into a research lab or whatever constitutes "terrorist" activity. Not that I wouldn't do it if I was young and didn't have a family of furbabies to take care of back home.
To me there is a hell of a differance between breaking and entering/trespassing/ releasing animals and the act of killing human beings.
So a lab gets broken into...big woop...are the researchers terrorized and traumatized so much that they will be unable to carve up live animals as soon as another supply comes in? I think not.

Typical Republican - puts self freed over others then calls themself religious. I don't trust or like this person. Would never vote for him. Some Republicans don't even like him. Heard on TV some of his own party want him to show tax returns for the past 10 years. He won't because it's believed he didn't pay a cent in taxes in all those years but the last 2.

Dianne, I think the tax returns depending upon the years released would show a greater involvement in Bain Capital as well. The issue of McCain choosing Failin Palin over Mitt is Unfit is partly that he is unfit, though neither is Palin, but also his concern over what the tax returns reveal.

"Their dog should have been/should be taken away from them and be given a new loving home with sane people who have common sense, -in that there's no telling what he will do to the dog next." - Beverly C. -

Yes, the dog should have been taken away from them. But Romney can never harm Seamus again - because Seamus is dead. This abuse occurred *decades* ago, and Seamus has since gone to the Rainbow Bridge (where he will hopefully NOT meet up with any of the Romneys ever again!). But this poor dog's memory lives on as a reminder to present-day US voters not to elect a sociopath to lead them.
