The sad truth is that war is not healthy for anyone....
Oh I know the fat cats who make their millions when were at war appear to benefit, but most of us know that they are the truly impoverished ones.....
It's the young men and women who walk the edges of life and death that need our attention and our thoughts and prayers...War is a sad sorry state to be in....

It would be good to get out of Afghanistan. I was there in 1976, They were friendly and we had no trouble there. They did have the dirtiest toilets - even dirtier than French public toilets. That was disconcerting, but apart from that - no trouble. Maybe they will return to be OK as well.
they are people who were badly damaged by Genghis Khan and they still have not recovered, because he destroyed their irrigation system.
America may have to face a "mad Max" future too if they don't take global warming seriously and start to curtail their greenhouse gas emissions and show some leadership in the world to that effect.
