We're not out of money. We've stopped taxing billionaires and corporations, and we're funding war-preparation so generously that we're sparking a global arms race that will eventually generate some enemies with which to justify the war preparation .

Noted & thanks for posting this excellent article, Carrie. Striking is the ultimate form of speaking truth to power, in my opinion. Unfortunately, in too many instances...like the Air Traffic Controller Strike during the Reagan years, the strike is called illegal and workers are ordered back to work or are fired. In this economy, the bullies ultimately win, because jobs are so few. Although it seems to be an enigma, I agree with the author that we 99%ers need to support all striking workers...as our numbers grow, so does our power.

Newest developments, Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, alive when found in Embassy, leading to complete new insights -- the U.S. is involved, staging the protests and thus Islamophobia !!!

Unions were instrumental in creating the middle class. We must support them! And with regard to the teachers' strike, what's more important than the education of our children? America cannot be great and cannot compete with other countries unless our children are given the tools they need to face the challenge!

You cannot currently send a star to Lois because you have done so within the last week.

Woo hoo, to the writer David Swanson! Way to go......I recommend this read. Good one Carrie.

We all need to be a bit more fiesty. And Ruth, where are the petitions? Why don't you make one here on C2 for people to sign. Not sure if you are listed with the other places like Change.org you can make a petition there. It is for each of us to step up and DO something, a lot of people are doing something. I run a Women's Circle off of C2, I am giving Talks, I'm a member of our local Occupy Group, I go to demonstrations, I post news on here, I promote petitions, I DO a lot of things. So this might be a good place for you to help out. Another spot to offer a Petition is the link below.
