In one of a series of clips from a secretly recorded campaign fundraiser, Mitt Romney makes a joking reference to his family's complicated history in Mexico, guessing that if his father George had been "born of Mexican parents, I'd have a better shot ...

I am not Latino but, this really does offend me, for my Latino friends. The Fascist bas****.....oh, and, he still wants all undocumenteds to 'self-deport'......I wish HE'D self-deport...to points unknown or maybe just the Caymen Islands, anywhere but here in the US.

Romney is a bit "lick spittle". He's like weather van, will do anything and agree with anyone to get to the top. Disgusting.

It would be helpful if Romney could experience Latino life for even a brief period. He would get to experience what it's like to be harassed by police just for walking down a sidewalk or just for driving a car(DWL: driving while Latino). He'd get to experience what's it's like to be faced with rabid law enforcement officers, specifically demanding proof of citizenship, and, having to explain to them that as a citizen born and raised in this nation that you don't actually have any papers to show them. Romney as a Latino would get to be treated like dirt in restaurants, stores, theatres, and other common public places by ignorant Anglo-Americans who don't even command the English language as well as you do. Romney would get a taste of having his culture and his history treated as less than nothing. Best of all, if Romney were a non-Mexican Latino, then he would have to put up with, dozens of times each day, with anti-Mexican insults hurled his way because so many Anglo-Americans can't find Honduras, Guatemala, or Nicaragua, to name a few, on the map.

Yes, this would be an excellent education for Romney...but nonetheless, Mittens just can't win.

I am Spanish and find Romney's remarks more than offensive! He has no idea what my - or many other Latino families endured to make things better for their children and grandchildren.
