Inspired by the all-caps headline "MUSLIM RAGE" on this week's cover of Newsweek, irreverent tweeters who happen to be Muslim are giving a glimpse of what really ticks them off -- or at least, what makes them irate enough to make a joke.

We are a free society, and so many in the middle-east want the same for their lives. We are making excuses for the few who are a part of all societies, who will remain disenchanted and disenfranchised no matter what form of government is in place.

This is a power issue, used by those who wish to control and manipulate the few to scare the many. America is not what they hate, rather it's what they do not have but wish to have.

Personally, I don't think this ridiculous video is the fault, only a trigger used to make a statement. In Libya thousands are protesting, not the video but in sorrow that our ambassador was killed. That's more important then the others.

We all have a sense of humor. We all love our children. We all wish for peace. Now, if we could all only remember that the other, whomever the other may be, is human just like us, feels the same things we feel, has the same basic concerns that we have...then we might all work harder to act with kindness, patience, and tolerance towards each other. That goes for everyone, Americans and Libyans, Christians and Muslims. Extremism in words and in deeds should always be a warning sign that we have forgotten the other's humanity and are in danger of losing our own.

My purpose in posting this item was to point out how unfair it is to depict a few extremists as being the voice of all. I I am getting really annoyed by those who say "Muslim" as if it is a four letter word. People are people everywhere - good, bad, happy, sad, etc. And yes, they are able to take a hurtful phrase and make it something to laugh about.

For me my belief is, to each their own, and live the relgion you want live, just don't force it on others. There are movies on alot of beliefs, some movies are for entertainment, not always in good taste, so you need to turn the channel.

LOL! The muslims I've known were just trying to make a living in society like everyone else. Except they celebrated Ramadan instead of Xmas. Big deal. They weren't plotting the eventual takeover of society or their non-Islamic friends or the world. Would you believe they respected other people's beliefs and weren't screaming, spitting, raging horrible monsters?
