The Supreme Court justice tosses judicial restraint--or any sort of restraint--out the window when he weighs in on sodomy, abortion, immigrants, and other controversial topics.

This Man is scary right wing...It troubles me greatly, that a Man like this with his thoughts and views, is a sitting justice on the Supreme Court...And let's not forget his hand puppet Clarence Thomas...How can Men like this, be fair and objective when anything comes before the Court, that they disagree with? They both should be removed from the Bench, before anyone respects the Supreme Court again...Look at how some of their decisions have f**ked this Country, and our citizens in the past 12 years...Citizens United, and naming Bush President, have utterly ruined this Country...

A judge is supposed to be dispassionate and consider the matters before the court with due deliberation of all aspects affecting the case.
No such judicial processes are evident in Scalia. His decisions are ruled by his passionate beliefs acquired in family and church, without regard to how they affects justice, other human beings and the welfare of society.

Why do we assume that someone is intelligent because they hold the position of supreme court justice? They are appointees which means they know the right person at the right time and they're usually arrogant because they know that whatever they say or do no matter how offensive or outlandish they have the position for life. Perhaps it's time to change those positions to a certain time limit.

Edwin seems to have the universally valid explanation for this character at odds with expectations of most Americans of the caliber of person qualified to hold the position.

Wow. What I'm curious to know is, does he leave the club in his cave or does he rest it under the bench when he comes to court?

Scalia's absolutely and VERY obviously incompetent!

Why is he still on the bench ANYWHERE?

This man is corrupt. It would probably be fairly easy to find the evidence of his dinners, weekends, gifts with "friends". Where are the investigators?
We need men and women of integrity, not corruption in our Supreme Court and every other office in our government.
