Vice President Biden was aggressive in taking on Paul Ryan in their debate Thursday in a way President Obama wasn't last week against Mitt Romney, but Biden's smile may have stolen some of his thunder.

Ryan looked like a high school kid against a pro in the debate. Biden was strong, perhaps too strong for Ryan! So with this said Ryan is just not Vice President material, at least not yet.

I am so laughing at this. Romney set the standard for rudeness and interruptions in the Presidential debate. Now that the the lying republicans have had the tables turned on them they are crying foul because Vice President Biden showed Ryan for the lying fool he is. Interruptions have become the norm thanks to Romney rudeness!

Great comment, Carrie B. Maybe the Republican candidates should start to take responsibility for their own lives. When Obama gives a less than stellar performance, we dems call him out then wish him better luck next time. When Ryan gets bulldozed by Biden, the right wingers blame everyone and everything but their candidate. Republicans don't seem to like competing.

All that "truth stuff" can get in the way of a good debate. Ryan did a good job of memorizing the "talking points" when it came to knowledge on the depth of each topic, Biden was all over it, Ryan seemed lost.

How much the Intelligence Service service would like to wipe that smile off Biden's face, along with the family of Ambassador Stevens, Foreign Service officer Sean Smith, and former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods who were murdered on the eleventh anniversary of September 11. If the Commander and Chief were unaware then there was no Commander and Chief. Still smiling?

You grin or even laugh often when trying to not take the short cut and say something as fact without being raw......I think his grins and laughs' were a polite way of his saying to Ryan......"You're a F'n Lyin' Moron Paul ".. Well that was what I was thinking anyway :-) .

Heide, those lost on 'the eleventh anniversary of Sept. 11' died due to budget cuts by the GOP in congress for security of embassies. How about someone wiping the grins off their faces for their causing the loss of lives you mentioned above.
The real fact is that the attact on the embassy wouldn't have happend if that grin'n moron Dubya Bush hadn't gone with a pre emptive strike via lies to the America people , when he began his wars in the middle east in the first F'n place.

The only thing "PURE" about the republican party is their complete hypocrisy. Romney was so flipping far over the edge in his debate, his continual lying, his disrespectful treatment of our President that HE set the standard for this years debates. Now, they whine that Joe Biden was disrespectful? Malarkey. He was on point, truthful and representative of the middle class Ryan and Romney want to disembowel. Joe was perfect, so too is the unrelenting and completely predictable hypocritical whining of the right. Ptthhh.

Are you kidding me?How the hell can they say Biden was disrespectful especially after the way Romneyy behaved in the prsidential debate now THAT was rude and disrespectful (wont even go into the dishonesty)
Biden was GREAT! So great in fact my first thought was Joe next term YOU should run for president he would have my vote! Biden was fantastic and they know it

Joe wins by a smile! The GOP should tuck their tail between their legs and head for home. Their disapproving remarks have no value whatsoever.

Nonsense. It was a debate for heavens sake. Ryan said some stupid things and some inaccurate things. Joe shook his head, smiled and then whomped him with the facts. I did not construe it as smirking. It was appropriate within the context.

The only certainty was that Biden won for rudeness, disrespect, and childishness. Ryan outclassed him by a mile.

I do so love the double standard. Romney was rude, loud. and obnoxious to Lehrer as well as President Obama, but that was OK. Now some are complaining that Biden was rude - too funny. Ryan showed no "class" at all by trying to tell the same lies Romney got away this.

Having seen the schadenfreude the Republican trolls on the site had about Obama's performance against Romney they retract now into how Paul Ryan was shown to be out of his depth. Fox News is one of the least informative sources of information given it has interfered in the political discourse to such an extent it has poisoned the well. Sarah Palin was out of her hole in the ground complaining about the debate yet she was beneath amateur when she had a debate with Biden and was given an easy ride. No one has said Paul Ryan is stupid, it is that he is the product of the Republican veering to the extreme right, but also the lies they tell. It is getting to the point when lying is the only way they can talk, Bush pulled America into two wars based on lies - he lied about Iraq and as for Afghanistan he lied about the objective which Obama managed to satisfy whilst getting into the habit of calling drone attacks which has bloodied his hands considerably. In conclusion Ryan got what he deserved from Biden.

Mr. Bean looked like a schmuck - he had memorized bits and when they were challenged, he had no clue how to refute them. You cannot currently send a star to Jae, Carrie, Kit, because you have done so within the last week.
