The Congressional Research Service has withdrawn an economic report that found no correlation between top tax rates and economic growth, a central tenet of conservative economic theory, after Senate Republicans raised concerns about the paper's findings.

That's a crock! It should not be withdrawn, just because Bought Bitch Mitch doesn't like the truth!

"The pressure applied to the research service comes amid a broader Republican effort to raise questions about research and statistics that were once trusted as nonpartisan and apolitical."

Concerns? That would include anything which does not fit neatly into republican dogma. These are the people who deny the science of global warming and climate change even in the face of the truth of it like Sandy. It isn't true, if it doesn't fit their mold. Which is quackery no matter what the profession. It is just more out in the open with politicians. Fools and poltroons are who "represent" us.

Why cave every time these Wankers whine? They should be cutting in the a Public Service Announcement with the info on Faux News. That's the only way their viewers will ever hear the truth.

Noted...thanks Carrie. This is further proof that the Republicans and teabaggers would rather tank the economy than do anything to help them that is either the President's or a Democratic idea.

Noted. So, the squeaky wheel gets greased....seems like Dems are going to have to start doing a lot more squeaking after the election. My holiday wish is for a Dem. majority in Congress....and for Teabaggers & Blue Dogs to be ousted. Then we just have to get the media to stop covering these whining infants ad nauseum every time their diaper's dirty.

If you don't like the facts, just suppress them. No wonder I can't trust anyone the Republican party does trust.

Jared Bernstein --- “This sounds to me like a complete political hit job and another example of people who don’t like the results and try to use backdoor ways to suppress them,” he said. “I’ve never seen anything like this, and frankly, it makes me worried.”

Republican/Teabagger SOP --- If it doesn't say what we want it to say, if it doesn't support our views --- get rid of it! It is wrong.

Sometimes, the truth hurts! What a sorry state of affairs.
