The Healing Power of Marijuana Has Barely Been Tapped

There are now legal medical cannabis programs in 18 states plus Washington, DC, with pot fully legal for adults in two other states. Ironically, however, the actual healing power of the plant has barely been tapped.

Just one big reason to legalize, or at least decriminalize, "wacky tebacky."

interesting dynamics. Besides the stoner/healer THC v. CBD debate, we can't expect the cancer industry to go down without a fight.

Finally! Credible and specific info on the many crucial benefits of cannabis. Cancer curing....well billions upon billions have funded this research over many decades....and all they had to do was grow some weeds. I'm laughing so hard. But, must express my deepest gratitude for this research and info.
Here's when I believe we've turned a corner.....cancer patients receive medical cannabis at no cost.

Thanks Carrie for the link to the wonderful article By Allan Badiner. Good news indeed. The most extensive medical marijuana research goes on in Israel believe it or not and the results they are finding is that CBD can be used for many medical conditions not just cancer and Alzheimer’s. Read and gladly noted.

I've been beating this drum for sometime. I could care less if someone wants to get high from POT, it's a lot safer than alcohol. This what is all but ignored by the press: "the non-psychoactive cannabidiol (CBD) from the leaves of the same plant--raw and unheated. Depending on the strain, some plants are high in CBD but also contain a lesser amount of THC which is said to enhance the healing potentiality. CBD does not make people feel “stoned” and actually counters some of the effects of THC (for example, suppressing the appetite vs. stimulating it). CBD is beginning to be recognized by researchers at mainstream medical institutions around the world as a potentially very powerful weapon against cancer." (from the article)

There is a cheap, readily available treatment for cancer and for so many other diseases that goes ignored. I have my suspicions, maybe all have them. The US government does own the patents on the cannabinoids and therefore the use of those patents. Cheap cancer treatment is just too expensive for the "Cancer Industry".

Thanks Carrie, I hope people do read this and begin a journey of personal inquiry into Cannabinoids. What we are not allowed to do with good solid, inexpensive treatments for cancer, Alzheimer, Parkinson's and the long growing list of possible curative treatments by that simple old plant.

One doctor in Colorado treated only those with absolute confirmation of cancer, but no radiation and no chemotherapy, in 21 days, the cancer was stopped, ended with complete recovery. Those who have been treated now consider this a truly revolutionary reinvention of what our ancient fathers and mothers knew. Use marijuana and use it well. This is not just a cool plant for getting high, it's plant to cure what ails us.

I will be so happy when I am able to get an RX. My doctor is trying to help and it unfortunately should be easier now. It appears that dying is a prerequisite for pain relief. How sad s that! This has to change and soon!

When I lived in Maui, medical marijuana was and still is legal. I was down to 87lbs and could not eat due to the many medications I was on. My Dr. not only prescribed it for me but he also paid for the permit for me. He saved my life thru those actions and not only did it allow me to regain appetite, it helped me to finally get some real sleep and it helped to alleviate the constant pain I was in. I don't know how many of you read the article I posted a few days back but Uruguay is now the first country to completely legalize it on all levels.

God must be banging his head in despair. He gave the planet this awesome plant, and it was made illegal! Marijuana and hemp are the most valuable plants on the planet. Neither needs pesticides, and they actually nourish the soil, instead of draining it of nutrients. Over a hundred items can be made from the plant, including clothing, rope, and paper. (The Declaration of Independence was written on paper made of hemp.) Just think of all the trees that could have been saved. It's medical uses are astounding.

Go to www.phoenixtears.ca to see how hemp oil cures cancer and many other ailments. Or see if you can find the video about juicing marijuana to cure all ailments. Don't wait till it's made legal. If you need some, get it.

It should be legized all around the world for both reasons, as a medication and for users who use it for other reasons, thanks Carrie.

I would presume the governments don't want to legalize it because of all the illegal profit. The US government is the biggest purchaser and distributor of drugs through its proxy drug cartels. The ones that get caught are the ones that fall out of favor. Allegedly marijuana also interferes with the Delphi programming you receive through the various media sources. Hmmm...

I live in Canada. I would like to see pot decriminalized because it is a waste of tax payer dollars to enforce it. I would not like to see pot legalized, controlled and taxed like cigarettes and alcohol. If people were aloud to grow their own, the face of organized crime would change. I have heard the argument that some of the money made from weed does fuel big crimes. If that is true, and pot was decriminalized, those particular criminals would loose their niche in the market and it would follow that bigger crimes would also reduce, as these criminals would have less means to fund their other crimes. Sounds like a win/win. Although, some of the prisons would have to be closed from lack of people to fill them. Some people, like prison staff, would have to find other jobs.

Israel has done amazing studies on marijuana. Washington, Jefferson, Adams etc. all grew it in the 1700s. Why is all this info being suppressed? BIG PHARMA!
