Republicans think it will be easy to come back -- just appeal to culturally conservative Latinos! It will fail.

It will fail because he is a mean spirited non relevant creature.

Karl Rove's reign of terror is over - he has become irrelevant...a dinosaur!

Great post, Carrie!

Given that his money backed mostly losers in 2012, I welcomed the wealth of survey data collected from Latinos themselves on what matters to them and how they think and vote.

Unfortunately, J.L., that money was not Rove's, but Super Pac and personl money, so he (Rove) is in deep with the GOP.

The GOP is looking for simplistic answers. They don't want to do any real soul-searching about their current positions.

Thanks Carrie for the link to the article by Irin Carmon. Rove and the GOP just can't wrap their heads around the fact that most American just don't like the hateful agenda that is put out the party. As far as I'm concerned the outreach to the Latino community will go no where. read and noted.

He is using what smoke is left from the fire that is out.

Come on his nickname is Turdblossom, which speaks volumes for him, but amongst turd-related nicknames, blossom is about as good as you can do. I guess turd rainbow maybe is the only other. Still I suppose trying to resurrect the Zombie corpse of Ronnie Reagan with the blood of virgins was not the qualified success they wanted and they appeared to have run out of the psychotic bunnies and rats earlier, Rove was feeling a bit horny that day.

As Carrie said, the money Rove was using came from the rich and there will be more of that because people like the Koch brothers don't give a fig about social issues. They care about tax issues and regulations that might slow down their making money by killing the planet. In other words they care about money and only money. And this article not withstanding, I wouldn't count out the Rove machine and the Republicans in 2014. As long as we continue to allow money to influence elections and given the GOPs skill in dirty politics, they still will be a force to be reckoned with

Wait. Hold up a minute. Isn't it reasonable to expect that vote fraud manipulator Rove will go to jail where he belongs thanks to the data gathering efforts of Anonymous? If it's not reasonable to expect incarceration for those who would overthrow an American election, then let's get up a petition and push it everywhere to see that justice happens here.

They aren't changing (as we've seen since the election) so there is still nothing there to love, like, or want. Plus, we've seen glaring red flags of what they would do, given the seats of power again...dissolving locally elected government positions to install fascist City Managers, BIG GOV pregnancy monitoring, voter suppression and voter fraud, elimination of the social safety net....Pain, misery and Hell on Earth is still a tough platform to sell Turd Blossom.

Yeah, I haeard some idiot say something about Latinos are Catholic, therefore they are against abortion and should be Republicans. What a bunch of stereotypes at the very least.

And to think...Romney's father was born in Mexico. LOL

Sorry Angelica, but should Bush and Cheney be behind bars for war crimes? Nothing will happen to Rove for his dishonesty. It seems to be widely accepted and tolerated.

Well he couldn't steal our last election so he's on to his next brillant idea for a bunch of old white men who still have no idea what the people want. Hint - It's not their agenda against women, gays, SS, Medicare and last but never least the Latino vote.

Most of the latinos I know already don't follow every
dictate of their church ( birth control ).

It also doesn't help to go around saying stupid racist
things about latinos and then expecting them to vote
for you.

Re: "I remember when george bush was caught calling the american public stupid..." Oh Lord! That must have made every monologue on the late night talk shows!

The Latin translation for "bush," as it appears in William Whitaker's Words (University of Notre Dame):
frutex, fruticis N M 3 1 M [XXXCO]
shrub, bush; shoot, stem, stalk, growth; "blockhead"

I don't know whether or not the last word was someone's idea of a joke, or if it's one of the actual translations. Interesting...

Thanks for the thought-provoking comment, Trish K.!
