In case you haven't been planning your ensemble/resolutions for months now, New Year's Eve is just around the corner.

Thank You Carrie for putting me in a more festive mood. The 1950's were the best!! We still had Big Bands, and Guy Lombardo and his band were the ones to watch. Feeling sad at the passing of Dick Clark this past 2012 - he will be missed very much!! He is at peace.

Great photos of New Year's eves of the past. IIt's fun to look at the fashions of those times. I used to like big events when I was younger. Now I'm content to celebrate on a smaller scale. Thanks Carrie, good pick.

Thanks for the memories. I will miss Dick Clark.
When I was much younger, I used to go out with my friends every NYEve - and every year I'd swear I wouldn't do it again...and yet, it took many years for me to learn to finally stay home...that it's "amateur nite". (I had to learn the hard way the same thing about Halloween & St.Patrick's Day too). :-}
I will be happily at home this NYEve with my little soulmate, my kitty.

Seeing those photos and wondering which of the people are likely to be still alive made me aware of the transience of thing - in particular, my transience.
That means - I'll have a real celebration tonight! Tempus fugit, so one has to catch that moment now and make use of it - especially the moment now that marks the fleeting flow of time.
