Even more hypocritical and despicable is that this guy is not the only one. From a Think Progress article:
"Eighteen of the 67 dissenters are first-term members, sworn in just a day earlier. But of the 49 Representatives with a prior House record who opposed Sandy aid, at least 37 had previously advocated for or touted emergency aid services following other disasters that affected their own constituents."

Noted. Those of us In New York State receive among the least bang for our buck with respect to the federal tax dollars we pay, and I'm sure most of us are ok with that...right up until the time when our state (through no fault of our own) needs some help, and a leech like this Representative, along with 66 of his other colleagues, vote against a bill to help those in need.

Ever since the 1980 and 2000 coup, eh? Karl Rove college republicans. that are popping up all over congress is part of that ongoing coup on america. This IS the Ayne Rand philosophy at play. Ask yourself, did I vote for one of these 35 yr. old, rich kids?

Karl Rove origin story 'College Republicans' -- will it make a compelling movie?...
The announcement earlier this week that the best script in Hollywood, as voted on by industry machers in the annual Black List survey, is the Karl Rove origin story "College Republicans," prompts a few questions. More results

Seems to me that in 2005 when Katrina hit, Palazzo was always at the trough looking for money for the state, in particularly his section of it. Now, with an equally devastating storm, he and his buddies would deny assistance to those in need. Is this what it means to be American? I'm surprised the Republican/Teabaggers haven't tried to revive the old GOP conspiracy theory that Mr Obama is responsible for the exceptional storm, or perhaps that this is God's judgement upon the people for voting Democratic.

In any case, the GOP is trying to crawl out of the sewer but their true nature is showing.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that they did this because it's New York. This hasn't happened anywhere else when a natural disaster has hit. The only time New York was ever treated as anything other than that weird uncle you don't want to sit next to at the table was on 9/11. Every New Yorker knows the rest of the country has never liked us too much, this just brings it home. Thanks.

Exactly Janet - and they only USED 9/11 to promote Bu$h League policies..apparently they can't Exploit anything in a Natural disaster.

Tea baggers like Palazzo have no shame. They are obstructionists who will vote against anything that makes their followers think they are cutting spending. With the other hand, these bums vote AGAINST sensible spending cuts or taxes for top income people, corporations, or Wall street fat cats. He is as disgusting a politician as they come.
