If it's true that politics is a contact sport, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton got some extra protection Monday when her staff welcomed her back from medical leave with a personalized -- and heavily padded -- football helmet.

Cool story ! Nice human interest the world of politics. A nice change from the more serious issues and for me theirs room for both types on political threads even. My best to Hilary and to those who gave her the helmet :-).

Thanks Carrie for the link to the article by Anne Gearan. Really good article. Good to see her back on the job and proving that she has a great sense of humor. read and noted.

It is good to see Hillary Clinton back at work. Now it's time to settle down and get to the bottom of the Benghazi incident. Under oath, Hillary Clinton needs to answer the hard questions.

I'm delighted that she progressed so rapidly and I had little doubt that she'd enjoy the humour in the helmet. Thank God she'll get a relative vacation after the delayed testimony and all that's planned around it end! I'm also very happy for Senator Kerry's getting a second chance at the Federal level.

She should get the Iron Woman award.

Benghazi incident: CIA (Patraeus) screwed up...People quoted him...end of story. No impeachment. Move on.

Noted...thanks Carrie. This is great news. I have had the privilege to meet and talk with then Sen Clinton several times and everyone knows how intelligent she is, and I also found her to be very compassionate and very real. What a lot of people might not imagine about her is that she is one of the funniest people one would ever meet. It is repugnant that some on the right would speculate that she was faking this, among them political hacks like former Rep Allen West. That part sounds good though doesn't it? FORMER Rep Allen West. Blessings, Sec Clinton.

The Repugs are so accustomed to lying and deceit that they believe that everybody does it, just like them. Guess what Repugs, thankfully, not everyone is like you, Mrs Clinton being one that isn't. As to Alan West, don't let the House doors hit your ass on the way back to Florida where you belong in a GOP pond with other scum.

Welcome back Mrs Clinton. True winds and fair seas as you testify about Benghazi.
