The repubs don't give a damn what happens to the average citizen as long as their corporate masters make money

There's never been any doubt the republican party is willing to throw our economy under the bus if it means they can plant a smear on Obama. Trick is though, the entire world knows it is THEM, not the President who are responsible for this mess with their unyielding radical elitist 1% agenda. No one is being fooled here but them. So, if they do this? Well, I just wish I could speed up time to the 2014 elections and watch red go blue on the maps.

Yep, if it happens, we all know whose fault it is - I hope Americans hang 'em high and dry so we can get some folks in there who really care about our country.

And the Republicans will be the reason. So sick of the malarky and selfishness.

Sequestration is one month on furlough without pay. These people pick the time of the year when they want to take a week of furlough, go back to work, and can stagger their four unpaid weeks throughout the year.

Now you know what sequestration involves and Head Start is not going to close down and neither will any other folks love to go "ape" before you even know what it is you are discussing. My husband works at The Pentagon and it's "furlough" time. Every office will be covered by staggering the one month furloughs which as I stated can be broken down into weeks at a time.

Obama LOVES to spew FEAR....sequestration will be no big deal. Arielle, Obama signed it and dems voted for it...let's go for it. Now Obama wants to wiggle out of it.

If sequestration happens and it probably will (we've already chosen when we'll take vacation this year because it will be mandatory to take a month off, no one loses their job. They just lose a month's big deal.

And while you are ripping the republicans....remember that President Obama wanted sequestration...and he got it! This is at Obama's feet.

Well said Gene. That about sums them and their obstructionist motives up in a nutshell. Thanks Carrie.

The Republicans are selfish in petty points scoring instead of thinking of the people and the Economy. Shame on them.

Obama's suggestion, he owns it. Instead of going on the road campaigning he should be back at The House meeting with his trusty band, not turning sollely it over to them for solution without any input and/or budget. Keeps his image and hoped-for legacy clean though, doesn't it. What an ass.

Republications will get blamed for it either way so bring it on.

You are making a blanket statement about republicans that simply isn't true. There's nothing to support that comment. Republicans simply want a BUDGET HELLO OBAMA???? And no budget is in sight. But, the liberals think that's okay. With a republican president in office without a budget after all of these years the liberals would be wild.

Noted. Thanks, Carrie. I'm all for the Pentagon cuts. But, I'll bet that's the 1st thing that the GOP will save. Just hoping we don't have too many complicit Dems on this cut. I also think the devil's in the details, and many programs could be protected with a bill a few Progressive Senators are going to introduce Monday.

Diane, didn't you read a comment I made about yearly budgets? It was lengthy, but I will keep this one short.
From the Drudge Report:
At least one budget resolution has been adopted every year except 1998 (for FY1999), 2002 (for FY2003), 2004 (for FY2005), and 2006 (for FY2007)." Republicans held House and Senate majorities in 1998, 2004, and 2006.

Diane O. - you miss the point, no one should be forced o take a month off without pay. How's that going to help the economy? How much money are they losing and will not be spending? Anyone voting for sequestration should be charged with treason. Please enlighten us as to how Obama wants this, if you can.
