much bluh bluh with (as usual and highly fashionable) essential facts missing.
and some outright cattle-excrement:
> Dioxins are a group of inorganic compounds that form naturally during forest fires, as well as from industrial emissions and burning trash.
dioxins, and more precisely: polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins, are POPs, Persistant ORGANIC pollutants

and while they do also form naturally -- they do so several orderS of magnitude LESS than from antropogenic emissions.

And more of such news, don't we love them. Fits in nicely with the previous posts about salmonellas, tighter regulations of imports, inspections etc..

One the most important public health issues for any country with the diversification of responsibilities and absence of control over supply chains

Christine, Thanks for stating what's on my mind as well---- Chickens are suffering terrible abuses & cruelty, as are all animals being used for food. Now this was all for nothing----try vegetarian/vegan, it works wonders for us all!!!~ Thanks so much carrie!!~

Yes Go Vegan but the problem is you have to know where your vegetables and fruits come from because they will dump the chickens in with other materials and have fertilizer

You know the agribusiness industry has just gotten insane over the last 60 plus years. First, DDT, then nitrogen fertilizers, then all manner of pesticides, then pesticides IN the seeds, then GMO's, then red meat pumped full of hormones and antibiotics, then fish unsafe to eat because of mercury poisoning, then chickens full of all manner of things and all grown and raised in horrific conditions. It seems there is nothing safe TO eat and nothing worth eating - it will all get us in the end because nothing produced any longer in quantities sufficient to feed the 7 billion people on the planet is safe for us to eat. Going vegan isn't enough. Maybe we ought be like a group I read about years ago in Australia, I think, who claimed to exist on air alone. Then again, air isn't safe these days either. Killing the ecosphere and each other - we are quite the prize aren't we? Homo Sapiens, the stupidest animal ever to rise to the level of sentience, then spread across the planet like a virus...

The last chicken I ate, that's about six years back. It didn't taste like chicken used to taste.
No more chicken for me in any form. Basta.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, just asking....Isn't Dioxin the stuff that makes Oreos and the letters on M&M's white?

The white letters on M&Ms and Skittles are printed with edible ink that doesn't dissolve in water.

I used to be a USDA Inspector, I will tell you don't eat the table grapes from Chile as well.

They use pesticides that are illegal for use in both the U.S. and Europe. If the U.S. made this pesticide illegal, then you know it must be really, really bad.

Personally, I avoid everything marked as "Product of Chile" and do my best to avoid South American produce in general.

The kiwis I buy are "Product of New Zealand' . Totally safe.

I also buy local U.S. produce.
