As gun control debates wax and wane, and despite the fact that machine guns are already subjected to some of the strictest gun control measures advocates could hope for, there's been little scrutiny of the machine gun community to see just how well gun...

The gun culture in this country is out of control! This is a good example!

Enjoyed the story here and learned of the strict regs for machine guns - never knew. Agree majority of people want gun control but the NRA GOP/TP coalition spent mega bucks scaring gun owners to death.

My mother owns a 9 mil handgun, has had it since about 1981. She's going to be 87 in Oct and doesn't understand that her age has slowed her down, that she would be disarmed before having a chance to use it, thus making a dangerous situation worse. She's never cleaned it, she lets it sit out on her table - to get it quicker...seems not to make allowance for te wheelchair she' now in.

And wonders why I worry.

While guns are a major problem the mindset of many who have them is only a ego based solution to compensate for other problems and while some are just meant to kill others fantasize until they do and learn a very hard lesson afterwards.

big gun-small you know what. Bullets-metal viagra for geezers. The only way some of those guys could get a woman to look at them twice would be to have her stare at the barrel of a machine gun. Small wonder they are playing with their toy in the sandbox.

Little boys and their toys. Can't they go and play with something less lethal? It's really sad to see these white old geezers pump up their nearly non-existent manhood with machine-guns. Guess you need a gun to remain one of the boys.

Noted. Thanks, Carrie. Since the NRA has taken the radical position that "everyone should own a gun & guns should be everywhere including schools, parks, bars.." I've decided to take the radical position that the U.S. needs to implement gun laws similar to those in the U.K.---which only had about a dozen deaths by gun last year. The same is true of Australia. They decided back in the 90's after a horrible incident to outlaw guns, and were able to pass that law in a very short time.
