There are frequent outbreaks of E Coli.

When will people learn, flesh poisons flesh.

I don't eat Mexican food very often...but E Coli outbreaks appear all over, and with different food types.

Zee Kallah, we still don't know precisely what they ate. As far as food poisoning goes, it can be either meat and plant based foods or don't you remember all those recalls for lettuce, spinach and other greens?

We can't be complacent even over our veggies! Remember those people being ill after eating salads with no meat at various restaurant? We must remember when at home to give our veggies a vigorous washing as well, even those of us growing our organic veggies are not immune from food poisoning if we don't take preventative steps. If we eat only plant based foods and believe that somehow we are immune from the other types of bacteria that are present which can lead to food poisoning then we are deluding ourselves.

That should be various restaurants - plural. Also, the idea that flesh poisons flesh is the belief of some vegetarians and vegans but for those who are omnivore and avoiding factory farms there is nothing unhealthy about animals raised outside, pasture fed, GMO feed free diets. Some people eat far too much meat (the serving portion size required is the size of a deck of cards, one needn't over size the protein portion), small amounts in moderation is healthy and many omnivores don't always eat meat for every meal.

If the E coli was in the vegetables...They were warning people on TV about this out brake on vegetables and to be careful while buying until these pass, maybe, just maybe the restaurant got it from this source, but in a restaurant Mexican or not, one can't never know what we are really eating.

One thing; Just because a restaurant has a Hispanic name as Federico's or people working there are Mexicans or look alike, it doesn't mean is authentic Mexican, most times the owner is other nationality, the presentation is just a catch, most restaurants selling Mexican food are a shameful imitation of what it's delicious and healthy, then again all is about money and people taking the bait.

In an other note if it was meat well...Nature is making those who have no consideration for the animals pay the price one way or another, so I have no problem, if an animal looses his life for a 5 minutes of pleasure in your mouth, why not the least have some consequences? It's call pay it forward, we don't like the price oh well.
