read and noted - I quit eating at Olive Garden and Red Lobster about a year ago, I actually got sick once after eating at Olive Garden (salad) it was the only thing I ate. It tasted very different from what it used to taste like when the restaurant first opened.... I also have problems every time the family went to Golden Corral.

I think it was irresponsible for FDA to not post the brand of salad mix they took off the shelves because people still could have had the mix in their refrigerator and still eating it, easting tainted food. They should be required to inform the public of the brand.

buy from your local farmers, wash all fruit and veg well and add a drop or two of dish soap.

Janet D, the brand is Taylor Farms de Mexico, and they only sell by the case and only to food service, not directly to consumers. Your Fresh Express or Dole or Kroger or whatever from the grocery store shouldn't be affected. Not that you shouldn't wash it!

It isn't just a salad mix ~ it's trying to pinpoint an ingredient.

Sure makes me think twice about buying Taylor Farms de Mexico brands. I have seen this brand sold in Costco Business here in CA. It wasn't that long ago that it was for their spinach. Thanks Carrie

And this is why you wash your veggies well before using them.
