Release of Sen. Ted Cruz's Canadian Birth Certificate Sparks Questions About Dual Citizenship

Cruz apparently currently retains his citizenship in both the United States and Canada. No one claims that Cruz is a Canadian Manchurian candidate but, as the last two presidential elections have proven, any question about a candidate's eligibility...

Not as All-American as apple pie. My-my...where do his loyalties lie? I can't believe this F-Tard would get anywhere near an actual nominee. That would be so embarrassing.

Don't think he'll get a chace there's too many GOP/TP out there who'll cut him down on their way to the nomination. Noted and thanks.

The Last Word just came on with news that Cruz will renounce his Canadian citizenship. So what? He is NOT an American by birth....he has a Canadian birth certificate. Jeeeez....Obama has an American birth certificate, yet a portion of the nutty GOP still insists he was not born in the U.S. I will never be able to wrap my head around this one. Cruz wants to run for Prez, quite obviously now. But, after the slings and arrows that have been pointed at Obama for the past several years, I don't believe Cruz has a chance in hell of even getting to primaries, let alone debates....no matter what he denounces or outright lies about.

He just did give it up, but it won't get him the office anyway. The man may be educated, which only makes him an educated buffoon.

Don't worry t-baggers! I heard that Ted was going to renounce his Canadian citizenship!

Too bad for decent society, Ted does not renounce his US citizenship.

After reading and listening to information about Ted Cruz's citizenship, it appears that I may be a dual citizen, based on Cruz's logic. My mother was an American citizen when I was born and didn't become a Canadian citizen until I was in my 30s. I don't know if she renounced her American citizenship when she became a Canadian. Works for me Good news for you guys, I won't be moving south — I like my universal healthcare.

If we compare Cruz to Obama, both mothers were American citizens when they were born. So what is the problem? At least Mr Obama was born in the US. Yet Republicanus/Teabaggers, specifically the birther bunch, still made an issue of his birth. As Rmoney was so fond of saying "Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander!"

Cruz is exercising his freedom of speech just like the liberals. He has his own ideas about what he feels is right for our country the same as the liberal mouth pieces have been doing for 5 years. He isn't a threat to anyone. He is simply telling us what he feels is wrong with our country. He's out there and transparent.

Transparency the liberals ask? What's that? You haven't seen any semblance of transparency since Obama took office. Now you see what it looks like.

I could care less about Cruz's birth certificate. He is still a danger to this country. But I do so love the double standard you right wingers are applying here. Of course, since Cruz is not black ~ only "kind of brown" ~ all is well in your private little world of hate and bigotry.

Why do Care 2 liberals always insist that everything is about racism? I never had a thought about anyone's skin color. I judge people by their actions. You like the racism part of politics don't you? You must. You seem to reduce your comments to racism. I mean, who cares? I guess the liberals care. It's the only card they have left these days.

Cruz is an American. Obama is an American. John McCain is an American. Dr. Ben Carson is an American....whatever is YOUR point? Except, of course, to instill racism into every topic.

Why not? According to many of you citizens King Barky wasn't born there which disqualifies him and all legislation he's passed disqualified. A real birth certificate hasn't been produced as of yet and that's illegal. Frankly I always thought there was no substance to Barky. In the Senate he was only there 50% of the time and 50% of the bills he merely voted present for. The man just seemed so uninspired like he knew he was a shoo in because he'd been groomed. He and Queen Bossy take more vacations on the taxpayers dime than even W.
I have nothing against a person of color being POTUS or a woman for that matter as long as it's not a Clinton. If you want a real POTUS, a real intelligent man who has worked hard all his life, Collin Powell should have been POTUS. The problem is the lackies and their minions are afraid of him.
I don't know a lot about Cruz but if he's as bad as everyone makes him out to be then he shouldn't be voted in regardless.

Barry Soretoro, his mother and his real father were citizens of Indonesia/Kenya. I've never really been a "birther." There are far more important issues at hand.

Since when does Nationality, take precedence over Place of Birth? Place of Birth is still WHERE YOU WERE BORN,not WHAT YOU ARE. Anyway,it would make him a half-breed.

"Cruz is exercising his freedom of speech just like the liberals. He has his own ideas about what he feels is right for our country"

No. He has joined the non plan of opposition. He's as useless to the people as all the other republicans. But then, when these idiots come to their senses, they go all in. Like that a hole in texas, Perry...NOW asking for $100,000,000 for Obama care funds...after renouncing it.

Texas seeks health funds » Abilene Reporter-News
Affordable Care Act money for mentally ill. ... AUSTIN — Texas is asking for additional funding through the Affordable Care Act to help mentally disabled residents live at home, ... through an optional program under President Barack Obama's 2010 health care overhaul, ...
reporternews.com/news/2013/aug/21/texas-seeks-health-funds/

You people need to shut up. You just show how really dumbed down we've become. You're a total embarrassment to those that listen, learn and think for themselves.

Personal responsibility my ASS! Another talking point that bites you in the ass.

Notice how democrats don't get all stupid over the same thing as republicans do. Trump has his foot in his mouth. No one is doing to cruz what the crazies are STILL doing to Obama.

Republicans make us look insane. it's an embarrassment.
