Despite heroic efforts by parents and teachers, there's little education for millions of children amid the chaos and bloodshed.Parents and local aid groups try to provide some form of education for the children, despite the violence and chaos, in order...

Women and children are always the biggest losers in any war, declared or not. It's sad to see so many children without any adults to help them. Thank you.

That's terrible! These children are not going to have an easy time of it if we bomb their country.

Until Obama decides what to do, the days will only grow darker for these children.

I pray for these women and the children. Seems to me they are always the first to suffer. Having to live a life full of violence and chaos can destroy their character I am afraid.
Instead of any countries getting involved in war with Syria, the money should be going to these people! Look at all the money that has been spent on guns, ammo..etc and some hypocritical countries that are sending these to both sides fighting in Syria. Thanks Carrie.

An even darker or non-existent future for the Coptic Christians and their families. They are being ethnically cleansed from the Muslim controlled lands in the Middle East and, in this war, have to suffer attacks for existing. They are in separate

The rebels, who are actually the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda and not Syrians but Africans, Chechens, Libyans, Saudis etc, have pledged to destroy them.

Syria Civil War: Syrian Christians Could Suffer if Assad Falls

Whilst I am always sympathetic and do my best my help to help women and children, whether or not there is a war, I am always appalled and disgusted that the suffering of non-Muslims is always ignored.

For many reasons I do not believe that our military missiles will help in this situation. I don't mind sending aid to the refugees of any background for the children and women to have food, medicine, tents, but not to rain on these people more missiles. This is a Civil War, the USA has nothing in it's Constitution that states we are to be the Police of the World.

This is heartbreaking, and I'd like to see the major powers get together and work out a peaceful solution. If a reader wants to sign any Petitions to keep the USA from getting into another costly mess with no end in sight and no objective and no sign our getting involved would even be helpful please go to the hotlink below, there is a list of petitions all in one spot.

Women and children of Syria have been suffering for more than 2 years now, why one should make more suffering? I comment everywhere on Egypt and Syria insist that there should be positive way to solve problems while avoid civilian casualty. Why not use peaceful approach, diplomacy, international law, etc. To punish Assad bring him to trial and jail him if found guilty. Million fled the country already, I m with Dandelion, send some aid to refugees and DO NOT BOMB THEM, please.

Lately I've been in the habit of taking a daily look at the stock market. I noticed it dropped under the big 15,000 several days ago, (it was slowly edging up towards 16,000), and continued to sink slowly every day....until....Obama gave his speech that he wanted to strike Syria, and "poof"---what an amazing recovery!...Daily climbing back up. So, I'm not going to be bamboozled on this one.
My sorrow at the deaths of all the innocents causes me to believe that even more innocents will be maimed and murdered if we intervene militarily in any way, shape or form.
Will be on my way to signing all Dandelion's posted positions.

It's so sad that the children and women have to suffer. Only shows me even more that these idiots who cause this nightmare, have no heart what-so-ever.
Thanks Carrie
