t's time to take a stand. For too long, New Mexico has been in the national and international spotlight while just a handful of people try to force our state into becoming the "Horse Slaughter State."

I really wish New Mexico was identified with more than horse slaughter, prairie dog massacres, and coyote killing contests. It's beginning to get me down.

Petition signed. I too am a vegetarian. They need to stop this senseless acts of violence. These horses were place on Earth to enjoy riding, watch, etc.... not to eat.

Signed. Put down that burger, lambchop etc, the livestock (especially cattle ranchers) industries are taking the land that horses and burros lived on for generations. Every bite of meat has a deadly consequence for equines.

Move to Wisconsin, then you can have even more animal cruelty, plus a whole bunch of other evil to add on top of your head added with your home-state attached. Fight Carrie, Let people know that it is Not the People in the state. keep up the hard fight

Carrie, thanks so much for keeping us apprised of the horse slaughter situation in New Mexico. I am one resident who is staunchly opposed. Will share APNM's petition far and wide.
