Since imported spices account for more than 80 percent of the U.S. supply, they were an important part of FDA's investigation and, in a study released in June, the agency found that nearly seven percent of imported spices were contaminated with Salmonella

Just wait for the TransPacific Partnership to go through...then we will see contamination.

Wow! More exciting death in package. We used to have food inspectors, now we can call our friendly neighborhood funeral director.

Now contaminated spices?! Just awful! And, Roseann's right about the TPP....but, let's not take it for granted yet. Contact your members of Congress and tell them that this should not be done in secret, explain your opposition with articles like this one. Many of them have absolutely no idea how bad the TPP is.

My husband said maybe I should stop reading about all of this and sharing it with you, but I want to know what's going on and what, if anything I eat, is safe!
