So leftist means paying a living wage to workers. Lhota and the Koch brothers will not stop until there is two classes in the US. The poor and the rich. They are the ones who are continuing the economic problems in the US.

Noted. Thanks, Carrie....I got quite a laugh out of this one. Fingers crossed that the votes are counted correctly and De Blasio beats Lhota.

I'd love this race to become the microcosm of the national divide and to portend things to come (or address to avoid)

You've gotta wonder what happened or did not happen in the elites lives to make them so f'd up?

So it's worth freaking out about that instead of 2.5 million a year you may only keep 2.4 million, but it's perfectly okay for hundreds of thousands of people to go to bed hungry because you shipped their jobs overseas?

I get it.

Kathleen R., JL, Robert K: So right!
I'm an expat. New Yorker, and am hoping DeBlasio wins the primary, without a run-off, and then beats Lhota senseless in the election.
I expect that the Koch boys, etc., and their Faux news buddies will create a thunderstorm of horse shit rhetoric in the campaign. May they spend themselves senseless, and then loose!
Roseann D., part of what happened to the elites was the preaching of their Saint Reagan, telling them that is is alright for them to want it all. Obviously, they were already primmed to take that message to heart (aka: self centered and greedy).

Class warfare and pork barrel politics on a grand scale; not to mention the fiscal malfeasance that has gone on since La Guardia.
