During an interview with KPCC that aired yesterday, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a California Republican, was asked if he had ever met Vladimir Putin. It's safe to say his answer was more than a little unexpected.

Sounds like back then Putin was a bit more approachabel, a bit more human than he is now...or not.

This just tickled my fancy, imagining Putin arm wrestling, too funny. I guess he may have to wrestle all of his new admirers from the Fox crowd. They are gushing for the guy with no shirt, but hates gays.

GOPootie is the latest Republican love affair. He loves guns and hates gays.

So I take it the date went well for them both, (^o^) still I do wonder if Putin wanted a spot of wrestling afterwards. .

Boys will be boys! It's not a pleasant tale.
Anyway, putting someone down in a flash is not that hard when one knows how. Putin was in the KGB and he would know how.
I myself, with just a bit of Judo was able to save myself from attacks by putting much bigger and heavier people down in just a second or two. It did not require mush strength, just know how.

I don't remember him doing that. Thanks for sharing, Carrie.

Rohrabacher, the only people who won the Cold War and every other war prior to and following that were the international Banksters and their corporate officer corps. The rest of us around the globe are still paying the bills for their arrogance and excesses and we are still blindly opposing each other at their behest instead of working together to depose them.
Alexandra, it's easy when you know what to do isn't it? Clasping the opponent's wrist and then snapping your body weight forward seriously deters your opponent with a sprained or broken wrist. Dividing the fingers on a hand; rolling sideways and then manipulating the hand against his flow can also break fingers, sprain them or allows you enough time to do a few other things which are equally egregious.

Putin loves to play the hard man and even issued a DVD of his judo skills. I don't want to put down all you judoka out there but it is a sport first and foremost and hardly a true martial art, and really a very soft offspring of jiu-jitsu. Vlad makes a big deal of never having been defeated but was red-faced a couple of years back when a 12-year-old kid laid him on his backside during a demonstration of the sport. Presumably the boy hadn't read the script but, at least, he has had a great career in mining salt since then. Putin is a showman and a populist and gives many Russians what they want: a charismatic leader in whom they can take pride. Yet, under the glitzy, testosterone-glazed surface, he is a self-serving gangster and no more interested in the people than the Communist dictators before him or the Czars before them. Excuse me; someone's knocking on my door.

Since the congressman is a republican, I was surprised he didn't find someone to fight FOR him, as usual.

Dear Mr. Putin:

Please keep your shirt on. You're really nowhere near as sexy as you like to think you are.
