Charity begins at home Mr President. Sort out your own domestic issues b4 interfering elsewhere. One life lost is one life too many. My sympathies to the families of the deceased. Every life is as valuable & equal as any other.

Exactly right, Rehana! And Obama was talking about other stuff in his " speech" while these people were getting shot, that was very inconsiderate!

Noted. Always nice words. Just the right tone. Emotions checked. But, where's the beef? I voted for Obama 2ce now, and I just want him to stop mealy-mouthing this subject. When he wanted to escalate in Afghanistan, (against the wishes of so many Progressives), that was easy as pie. But, guns? How can he take such a weak position? Who is he afraid of? And, if, in fact, he is afraid....that is not in his job description. He needs to stand up for the majority. The majority of polled Americans say they want stricter gun regulations. Let's start by re-instating the Assault Weapons Ban. Congress passed that during the Clinton Admin, but it lapsed during Dubya's reign.
