Laboratory tests on 92 wines by a French consumer group found traces of pesticides, insecticides and/or fungicides in virtually every bottle. Even wines made from organic grapes had pesticide traces, although the levels were much lower.

Surprise, surprise! the C-industry (C as in Cancer & Chemicals) pumps Megatons of toxins into the biosphere, and -- who could have imagined ?! -- they do NOT just all disappear magically. Amazing, isn'tit?

Noted. Thanks, Carrie. Well, if it's that bad in France, how much worse is it in our own domestic wines?!

Yikes! We won't be drinking any wine while on our Viking cruise next year in France.

As I don't think that grapes elsewhere than in France are more resistant against diseases or bugs, my guess is that all wine, worldwide, are contaminated.

As is the air we breathe.

Pesticides can't read, and therefore don't hesitate going where they should not go: even biological, basically pesticide-free wines are (in very small amounts, ok) contaminated, just by air and groundwater.

(and I'm not saying this because I live in France)

Thanks Carrie!

I don't drink wine and I used to enjoy a good French wine, back in the day when it was good - about 30+ years ago.

Since everything is contaminated to some extent, I think I will eat, drink and be merry, because either way we are all gonna die.

I'm not really surprised. But drinking French wine wouldn't be any worse than eating conventional produce, which most people do,

Why do I fear this test could have been done on anything with the same results.
