Friday night on "The Rachel Maddow Show," host Rachel Maddow addressed accusations planted by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)'s office that she is a plagiarist. She also pointed out even more instances in which Paul stole large chunks of his speeches from others.

An example of profiting from someone else's labors without giving credit or pay--a ripping off of average Americans to profit himself in an apparent fit of laziness instead of doing the work he is paid to do.

TY J as I missed my HERO Rachael Friday night. "pledged to be “more cautious” in attributing sources for other people’s work". Are you kidding me?

It would be good if some of these politicians were given a basic education before they started their work. Rand Paul is so ignorant that he may not have realized that what he appears to have done is frowned upon by more discerning people.
I said "appears to have done", as it is most likely that both he and his "source" may have copied texts from some right wing Koch brothers think tank Pro Forma, which they both feel entitled to use. What a headache it must be to check if the writing that one wants to use has already been used by someone else.

Rand Paul made a big mistake trying to trash Rachel with the same accusation of plagiarism. Rachel is a Rhodes scholar, for God's sake, and not one of his Teabagger minions who wouldn't even know how to spell "plagiarism"! Rachel is almost obsessive in her research, and her fact checking when reporting the news. On the few instances when there was an error in her report, Rachel will usually admit to the mistake, and apologize for the error. Rachel owns up to her errors, and it seems like Rand Paul has a problem not only with plagiarizing, but also with admitting to his mistakes!

Where is Issa's House Ethics Committee investigation announcement? Students are expelled for this and there are related civil and criminal laws.

Rand Paul is not only a one-trick-pony (get rid of Medicare) but a lazy one at that. You can't blame him for not having an original thought in his head - he's a Republican for goodness sake - but he's too lazy, or rather feels himself above it, to make a distinction between the texts that are fed by him by the 1% and which he is to repeat verbatim, and any other texts they have ripped from some site, blog or newspaper to give the Koch stuff some body. When you come to think of it, both him being to lazy to think anything up himself and him not wanting to admit to his plagiarism only shows how much contempt this senator has for his listeners, i.e. his voters.

Wow, you go Rachel!! I think Rand Paul doesn't even know how to write a speech. This is called running from your mistakes,” Maddow said. “The story has gone from bad to worse for Sen. Paul. I think because be basically refused to take responsibility for what he did.”
Thank You Carrie.

Esther Z. you'll notice that if you want to know what reprehensible things the Republicans are doing, then just notice what they are accusing the Democrats of,. It's like naughty children, only much nastier and more damaging..It works for them and they have no other ethics. Somehow, being truthful and honest is not something that they value at all.
