We need to put more decent people in charge like Richardson, Grijalva, and other wildlife advocates. Unfortunately, the system is rife with animal hating Bubba Burpwads. BLM, USFWS...It's where animal abusers go for employment.

I supported Bill Richardson in 2008 before I supported Barack Obama.

I wish him luck, but we have been here before and some how the money always wins out.

"Our next course of action is to file an appeal, a full rush with Congress to see if we can pass a prohibition, and to concentrate on more state by state efforts to stop this," Richardson told USA TODAY. "The odds are not that good about stopping this, but it's not over." Seems to me that Richardson is a real fighter! It is too bad, but as Kit B. says money always wins out.
Thank You Carrie.

We need more like him with political clout. Sadly, money means more to our politicians than being compassionate and moral human beings. The horse hating livestock industry, pro slaughter groups and gas/oil industries have our politicians in their pockets.

I wish this man all the best in his endeavours.
We must never stop trying. Eventually even big business has to succumb to public opinion. If only we can limit our needs and use our power as consumers we can bring about change, even if it is in tiny little steps. One day the changes we want will come in leaps and bounds.
Meanwhile, I have a sick feeling in my stomach, when I think of slaughterhouses for horses. How cruel and awful are we to treat such beautiful creatures in this way.
