Noted. Thanks for this info, Carrie. I'm sure we'll be hearing much more about this, and look forward to finding out what next steps will be taken. But, this is quite shocking.

Well I don't know who put it there Abdesalam and neither do you so one shouldn't go about casting aspersions. It could very well have been someone from Hamas. Palestinian factions aren't above genocide and murdering their rivals.

Arafat died of AIDS. French hospital had to hide the results of his blood test so not to "mess up" that Chief Arab Terrorist reputation. His wife Suha left him years before he died to save their daughter from infection.

And now Suha found a new old Revelation, blame Israel and all will be good. Even though Polonium is a trademark of Russian KGB.

I think you may well be right, Theodore. Hamas are such a treacherous bunch even the Egyptians want nothing more to do with them and have closed the Rafah Crossing into Gaza.

"Swiss scientists who conducted tests on samples taken from Yasser Arafat’s body have found at least 18 times the normal levels of radioactive polonium in his remains. The scientists said they were confident up to an 83 percent level that the late Palestinian leader was poisoned with it, a conclusion that they said “moderately supports” polonium as the cause of his death." Talk about hesitancy and indecision: 18 times the normal amount leads to an 83% chance and moderately supports the cause of death?

Israel had means, motive and opportunity to murder Arafat.
Russia killed Litvenko with polonium, but had no motive in murdering Arafat.

"Ariel Sharon confident, Uri Dan, in a book he wrote, claims Sharon once all but conceded he was responsible for Arafat's death."
Sharon cannot be brought up on war crimes; Dagan can, if the polonium can be traced to it's source.

"...traces of polonium 210 were found on the hands of Prof. Dvor well as on various objects in his home."
"Karpin records.. that polonium 210.. killed several Israeli scientists a few decades ago."

Interesting how "pro" Israeli agitators always claim they are blamed for this and that, when they, are so apt at blaming, slandering and pointing fingers at everyone else- and never themselves.

What was the point? He was already old and sick and becoming irrelevant. Israel and the West would never risk being exposed for something this obvious, or they would have done it years ago.

What makes the most sense, is that Arafat poisoned himself to stir up even more outrage in death. Think about it.

From Cifwatch.

"Though, in fairness, the Guardian’s reporting on the Swiss findings (which reportedly showed unexpectedly high levels of radioactive polonium-210) was relatively restrained – mostly noting that the substance found on Arafat only indicate that he could have been poisoned, the stories do significantly downplay or ignore evidence indicating that poison likely was not the cause of death.

Here are a few facts:

After Arafat’s death, in November of 2004, the Palestinian Authority refused to release medical records which would have shed light into the cause of death.

Even more curious (especially in the context of the immediate accusations of murder directed towards Israel), neither the Palestinian Authority, nor Arafat’s widow Suha, allowed an autopsy to be performed on his body.

A report in 2005 by The New York Times (based on an examination of Arafat’s medical records which the paper had obtained) concluded that he died of “a stroke that resulted from a bleeding disorder caused by an unknown infection,” and that Arafat did not suffer the extensive kidney and liver damage they would expect if he was exposed to a lethal toxic substance – findings, they noted, which “argued strongly against poisoning”.

Arafat’s remains have been examined by two additional forensic teams other than the Swiss team (French and Russian), but those results have not yet been made public.

The original ‘exclusive’ Al Jazeera report on the Swiss findings noted that, in the event Arafat was poisoned, his Palestinian rivals at the time of his death would have to be considered main suspects – a possibility not even mentioned in the more than 3200 words the Guardian devoted to the story.

Al Jazeera reported that though the evidence suggests poisoning, “no evidence has emerged that implicates [Israel]“, while the Guardian framed the findings as merely ‘not definitively proving that Israel murdered the Palestinian leader’.

Whilst we may never know with certainty the exact cause of Arafat’s death, we do know quite a bit about the lives he extinguished during his long reign of terror, a resume which includes launching and directing a four-year campaign of violence directed at innocent civilians known as the Second Intifada, and his leadership role in dozens of deadly attacks against Israelis which date back to the 1960′s.

As we Tweeted last year after questions emerged about the possible poisoning of Arafat, we humbly wish those concerned with whether there was foul play in his death would show as much concern for the surviving families and loved ones of those he murdered."

Arab Dawah propagandists are getting all excited, all based on one report, ignoring other sources showing different picture.

Arafat embezzled so much money, his wife Suha behaved so brazenly in France and Arafat treated Hamas so badly that lots of Palestinian Arabs had good reasons to finish up to old terrorist. They have much more compelling reasons to do that, than Israel which declared Arafat irrelevant.

Remembering #YasserArafat, Abu Ammar founder of the Palestine Liberation Organization who was martyred on 11-11-2004. Some of us will dispute his legacy but no one can say he wasn't assassinated with proof beyond a reasonable doubt that he was poisoned with polonium while he was in his besieged headquarters in Ramallah which lead to his death in a French military hospital. To all the martyrs of Palestine you have not died in vein and we will carry on the revolution until victory!
