I am so sorry for this young gentleman. He worked hard against a lot of dubious odds to become a sociologist, which are needed, and is suffering for all he accomplished with wages that are not good. It really stinks!!
Stand tall young man, you will get there, even though it will not be in the house you grew up in. I wish you Good Luck!!!

Great article Carrie. I wonder how many others are in this boat. I saw at the site all the comments about how he should have been an engineer. well, math skills. I don't know. Sounded like he had a not very good HS. Maybe he simply didn't have the math skills and was lucky fo find a major. I have seen this from many kids from rural school as well as inner city.
