The white supremacist leader attempting to turn a rural North Dakotan town into a "neo-Nazi-controlled paradise" recently underwent a DNA test for a syndicated talk show. As it turns out, he's got some Sub-Saharan African genetics in his blood.

1- You still can't argue with stupidity!
2- We are all "Out of Africa:" according to basic genetic testing Homo Sapiens began in Africa, and very blackly.
We are one race.
Some Caucasians, myself included, I found out via DNA testing, as well, however, may have much more recent admixtures of African blood.
Dave, you are correct, he is crazy, if nothing else, in the sense that he can not allow for the inclusion of evidence that counters his point of view. Once again, i refer to the story that Carrie posted, by Frank Schaeffer: Delusional and stupid!!

I agree with all the above and remind the half wit that his DNA is not much different than most people on planet Earth. We all began in Africa, our oldest ancestors have left some remains in the Olduvai Gorge or rift in Africa so we do have a touch stone to our some of our earliest beginnings. Some of us have a bit of Neanderthal DNA mixed in there. Those native to Australia and southern India have a little of the of the Denisova hominin.

Caucasian, literally, refers to people native to the Caucasus, but it has become interchangeable with any number of ‘White’ populations, most of whom trace their ancestry to Europe. One gets the feeling that the term ‘White’ fell out of favor and was replaced by ‘Caucasian’ much like ‘Black’ was replaced by ‘African-American’. But the roots of such terminology are a bit disturbing; it was postulated that the natives of the Caucasus exhibited the idealized physical appearance so the Caucasus were believed to be the birthplace of mankind. The logic behind this idea — the assumption that Whites exhibit the best physical appearance — is implicitly racist. Additionally, we now know our species first appeared in Africa, so the biology isn’t any good either. The connotations of the term Caucasian along with the geographical absurdity of using that term to describe all Europeans or Whites are the two main reasons we should abandon the term.

I wonder do they call themselves Neo Nazis because they are not clever enough to invent their own handle?
I have no time or interest in these single minded twits.

ROTFL! Of course he does, as do we all. The human race originated in Africa. The fool clearly didn't know this important fact. We are all related. Thank you for the good news! This is a hoot! :)

No big deal. I took the genographric DNA test for myself and I backed it up with a test on my male first cousin. My mother has fabulous French genealogy. My cousin's test came out identical to a man who is our extremely removed cousin. And that's what you want; male to male DNA or female to female DNA on the National Geographic/IBM project. also it proved that much of the world comes from where Bradjolina were first found tristing off the East coast of Africa and indeed on my mother's mother's side, indeed, we are probably Jewiish. I love busing myths and proving myths. Give it to me!

Kit, a lot of science there, but he wouldn't believe a word of it. And the earth is flat. Because purebred.

If someone is an extremist then they will be an extremist no matter what they are. This reminds me of 'Watemelon Man' with Godfrey Cambridge. A white supremacist wakes up as a black man one morning and, one he gets used to his new persona, he becomes a black militant. It's not the color of the person that makes them what they are.

I haven't laughed so much for a long time although he didn't admit to the fact that his DNA test showed he had African genes I wonder if he will still be accepted by his Nazi friends. what a clown.

The results of Craig Cobb's DNA test are extremely funny. The average white European, a member of the group Cobb likes to see as the pure white race, can expect to find around 1% of African, i.e. black genes in his DNA. Most of the comments above have already alluded to the fact that the human species modern man belongs to, started out from Africa. But to have 14% African genes means that one of his (great)-great grandparents must have been black. He truly has some black in his blood!

We'll never know if this test was a hoax because his defence mechanisms won't allow him to have another test done. He rather take a chance by not proving that this test is a fraud than to have to admit to himself that he has black ancestors after another test comes up with the same result. Having a black ancestor somewhere near him in his family tree would literally destroy this man.

I wonder if Cobb's followers will also consider the DNA results as "statistical noise"? Will Cobb find he can still love himself since he is now part of a group he so hates? Eh, for the second question, most surely not. Bigots, racists suffer from self hatred, which they project on other groups of people, as self projection is a means to feel better about their own fears, insecurities and low self esteem. Show me a self assured human being, and I'll show you an open minded, empathetic, respectful (and progressive) human being!

I agree with most of the comments. What comes through to me from this man is SO MUCH HATE, not only for AFRICAN descent people but generally hate for mankind.

I can only feel sadness for this man. His life must be absoluttely miserable. In not accepting who we are i.e. not matter what race we come from, part of the diversity of the human race, he is missing the greatest joys. I can only hope that one day he will understand this.

Hey, thanks for all the laughs, Carrie.....truly funny!
Reminds me that my deceased mom didn't suffer fools gladly. When she'd meet someone new, and they started talking with a supercilious manner about how their ancestors came over on the Mayflower, and go on and on....she'd then ask them "How do you know who your great-great-grandmother slept with?"

He should have known better. *shakinghead*

AniMaeChi is exactly right!

Skin color has a scientific background, and deals with the amount of tannins, and melanin in your system. These chemicals are in the foods you eat. Plants that are located in hotter regions generally contain more of these chemicals than plants in colder regions. These substances are used to protect your skin from the sun. The more protection you need, the darker the skin.

Genetics play a large role in determining skin coloring because of the genetic codes passed down from your ancestors, as well. Your genetic code/DNA was created by the foods that your ancestors ate, and are added upon by the foods that you consume, and they will be passed down to your children, etc.....

That is why you will retain darker or lighter skin coloring even if you are born in a colder/hotter area than your ancestors were. You are what your ancestors ate, and your children are as well.

Just part of the cycle of life.

I also felt bad for him. Narrowmindedness is saddening.

Ponder/Meditate/Pray for Peace.

I wish I had been there in the audience to really feel his surprise. Who knows, Cobb may be kicked out of his little group, denying the whole time that the DNA test was wrong. Haters only know Hate.
Thank You Carrie.
