If she was really that sorry, she would have apologized immediately, instead of waiting until public opinion got so stirred up against her that she might have been fired. I don't think for a moment that this was anything but an act designed to save her job.

I did not know about the controversy, but she sounded sincere. I wonder, like Shan D. why she took longer than she should have to issue an apology.
