This year we celebrate both the 41st anniversary of the Supreme Court's landmark Roe v. Wade decision and the 50th anniversary of the War on Poverty.

"Conclusion

This year, we will celebrate Roe by working to ensure that all women have access to abortion services, regardless of their income or source of insurance. The War on Poverty rages on, and it must continue until all women and girls have the economic, social, and political power and resources to make healthy decisions about their bodies, sexuality, and reproduction for themselves, their families, and their communities in all areas of their lives."

You know what to do to make this come through, ladies. Vote only for candidates who not only address this in their campaigns, but also will do something about it when they are in office.

Candidates who support the right to abortion tend to support better access to birth control, real sex education as opposed to abstinence-only crud, maintaining public aid, and raising the minimum wage. We need more progressive people in government - and more independents like Bernie Sanders!

Thank You for sharing this very important article Carrie. I will be very important for women to know everything they can find out on their candidate they vote for.In my opinion, a vote for a Republican will not help in getting what is needed for all women.
