I signed but grudgingly. (Thank you for taking action) I think $10,10 an hour is a kick in the head to workers. Congress, a group that barely works but increases their salary on a very regular basis is already complaining about this miserly increase. If you happen to believe that increasing the minimum wage will some how bankrupt these penny pinching companies than please put on your top hat and coat and dance over to Europe or Australia where the minimum wage is no less than $16.+ per hour and the cost of McDonalds trash burger is cheaper than here. The only thing that raising the minimum wage will do is allow people to stop being forced to take food from fast food trash cans and living in a car.

I resent and dislike those would deny those workers of the United States a right to live a decent life, at least partly commensurate with the hard work they do every day.

Noted & signed. TY, Carrie! Should be @LEAST $10.10! And, it would not hurt if those millionaire Congressmen could even open their hearts & public coffers to better the lives of working class citizens somewhat more just for once. Let's have another petition to have congressional salaries be standard minimum wage & watch how fast it would be increased then. This goes for BOTH parties; but esp. the (G)reedy (O)bstructionist (P)lutocrats. Wash.,D.C. is inhabited almost totally by 1%ers; and they no longer represent the best interests of We, the People. And, if corporations are people, then they should contribute their fair share of tax revenue; but that calls for another petition.........( Just venting, again thanks)

Noted and Signed with thanks Carrie - although like others here, I feel $10,10 is still not enough to have any kind of living standard. If the so & so Big Corporations would pay their fair share of taxes, which would help in running the country, but.........will it ever happen.......probably not.

Signed & noted. Thank you, Carrie. There are many workers asking for $12 or $15 minimum wage, which I think is still low, but we have to start somewhere.....

If you raise minimum wages the powers that be will just raise the rent, food and utilities to match it. Thats how they keep us down. We got a few dollars extra from Social Security and they took it out of our food stamps.

I''m glad they're passing a minimum wage bill. I'm not glad they may lead some employers to reduce wages that are over that threshold now... $10.10 is really far too little, but it's better than not passing a bill at all, I suppose.

Signed, though I think it should be
no less than $15/hr. with an index
to inflation so that it automatically
increases along with the worthless
Congress' salary.

I'm not in the US, so can't sign. But $10 an hour is still a very low wage - I don't know how anyone could live on it.

Signed and noted, even though I believe the dollar amount should be much higher. Unfortunately, it will be hard enough to get that paltry amount approved by the Republicans, so let's push hard for the Democrats to gain control of the House in 2014!

What lunatics would shoot themselves in the foot, by voting for the Teapublicans, who want to take money out of the pockets?
