The billionaire industrialists and their political operatives strive to ensure the anonymity of the wealthy conservatives who fund their sprawling political operation--which funneled more than $400 million into the 2012 elections--and to keep their plans...

Noted. This horrible excess of money and all the networking is hard to fight. Don't count out the backlash, as well as "progressive grassroots" groups working hard in every state to combat them, though. Get involved if you can, and be sure to spread the word, because so many people have no idea this is happening.

Noted and read with horror of all the money these arrogant Koch brothers have surrounded their AFP and networking with. It is so appalling that it is big money buying candidates off and has cost the US Government
wasted time and a bundle of money with the shut down by the Republicans and not much is going ahead. And then there is the President bashing! This Americans For Prosperity Group makes me sick.Bunch of rich guys sitting on thrones thinking they can take over the country.
Thank You for sharing this article Carrie.

There needs be legislation requiring publicly accessible databases that show the names and amounts of all campaign donors--one for federal level offices, one for each state's offices, and some for local jurisdictions.

A special tag for corporate donors (after all, the corporation is now a person) would also show the names of the board members (and, where applicable senior level executive personnel) who authorized the contributions.

Revolting bunch but we should not lose sight of the fact that there are some of them and MANY of us. As Pete Seeger said, "it won't be one person or one group making the changes - it will be a bunch of them all working for the same thing." In the meantime, anybody got a voodoo doll of the Koch brothers?

More spammers!!! Ugh!!!!! Does it never end?
Now, on our own "glorious" megalomaniacs. It does not surprise me the lengths that the Kock Bros will go to! They will do anything to get their way, just like a spoiled 2 yr old!
Beware, beware, beware of who you give your hard earned money to!! Research every time you click that "donate $3 to our cause" button!

Boycott all those people and companies. In my view the Koch brothers should be put in jail, and many more of the evil cabals who tread us like their personal slaves.

And here's an alternative donor list:

Makes interesting reading....

Note the top 3 are Democrat donors who mostly donated to "Other" - in other words, super-pacs. Note the top donor - son of GEORGE SOROS - NAZI COLLABORATOR.

As for the Mother Jones list - I knew there was a reason I like Papa John's Pizza.

I often wonder how much good could be done with all the money these people spend on trying to buy power.....could get a lot more power by buying respect by using money for helping.....

We did fight their horrible excess of money - and we won at the polls. Let them put back into the economy some of the money they have stolen from the people of this country through corporate welfare. I hope they spend twice as much this time around. Clearly, they will lose their shirts again. No one really wants what the republicans are selling.

Btw, it is false to accuse Soros of being a Nazi collaborator. But the right tells that lie all the time. It's all they've got. Good grief, if they told the truth their whole party would implode. It's built on lies and scams.

Soros was a boy when the Nazis controlled him and everyone around him. He did what he had to do to survive Not one republican has the right to judge him for that - or judge any of the other survivors for that. But to call a terrified boy a "Nazi collaborator" shows that the truth is always far from a republican. And I guess that's the way republicans like it.

Compared to these creeps, Lord Voldemort, Hannibal Lecter, Darth Vader and the Wicked Witch of the West are complete saints - and I don't mean football players for New Orleans.

I am not at all surprised. I agree with Freya. The Kochs are evil personified. Our country is and has been under attack. These people truly threaten the very existence of our democracy, and we have to stop them.

Phisher flagged, don't feed the troll, I read that the Democratic Party at the National level is fielding a project to help state level to GET. OUT. THE. VOTE which is really good news, and I see Clay Aiken (srsly) has thrown his hat into the ring to run against Renee Ellmers in NC.
