How many of us of a certain age remember all the joy she brought us when we were children? I still love to watch her movies ~ especially Heidi and ... just too many to count.

She was so very special and made us happy seeing her performances years ago. Such talent continued later in life, always giving of herself--she will be fondly remembered. I loved the movie Heidi!!~Thanks Carrie~~

Noted with a nostalgic fondness for the late Shirley Temple, yeah, Heidi was special, I read the book as a little girl and the film was a credit to it. Sleep in Peace.x.x.x.

I grew up watching her movies every Saturday morning on TV. We all aspired to be like her. (Boy, was I shocked when I read "Heidi" at eight and found out she really had black curls.) I suspect she's responsible for a lot of my cohorts taking tap dance lessons.

I think for many of us she'll always remain a child in our eyes. Although she brought smiles to many she herself as a child was made to work long hours, dance on an injured foot, and even a day after surgery had to perform.

A piece of trivia......How many curls did Shirley Temple have?

Her Mother always did her hair and she always made a total of 56 curls.

I grew up watching Shirley Temple Black, and her movies always made me feel good. She was so cute and bubbly, I knew even then the long hours this darling little girl had to work, and she became a national treasure in the 30's. If there is ever one of her movies coming on TMC I always watch or tape. She made a very good Diplomat, for so many years. RIP Shirley Temple Black.
Thank You for sharing Carrie.
Some good Trivia, Dandelion.
