The physician, who styles herself after Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Rep. Steve King (R-IA), is running in third place in a recent poll, behind former South Dakota state Sen. and Gov. Mike Rounds and state Rep. Stace Nelson.

People who have to demean others (especially for no reason other than to elevate themselves), have a very low opinion of themselves. I hope the voters note that. My private thoughts are *$%**#&%.

I wonder how she would feel if she only had $750 a month to live on...maybe she wouldn't compare food stamp recipients to wild animals!!!!

Hummm.... so this ignorant GOP corporate tool apparently believes this is how our nation thinks of our vets and many hundred thousands of active service men and women ....that also receive 'food stamps'. Ya have to wonder if 'supporting the troops' is/was always just a figure of speech with them... can't be sincere obviously if this is what she thinks about those receiving 'food stamps' ...not to forget about the many unfortunate people of all ages ...from infants/toddlers to seniors who rely on 'food stamps' in order to have food to eat. Someone really needs to clue this 'fool' in , that the U.S. is not really on the same page as 'other' third world nations... so ta say. .. even though the GOP extremist like her are pushing us to that edge ..closer and closer daily. For now... not there yet but if she and her other Corporate shills in the GOP party get their way we will probably soon be like other 3rd world nations when it comes to letting people starve while those in control of governments live in luxury beyond most of our imaginations. That or we'll be much like that of the days when Hitler ruled Germany.

I give her a 'B'' ... as in what a Bimbo "B" she is !... Amazing how the GOP keep coming up with Bimbo's like her to run for office. Have they no shame ? Of course most of us know the answer to that is ..no they don't...obviously.................................................... i.m.o.

I have a few nasty words I would like to throw her way, and she should keep her mouth shut! She has no idea what it is like to live the way a lot of Americans have been forced to live. Another Repuglikan or trying to be.
Thanks Carrie.

What a compassionate bedside manner she must have. I have a better comparison, republicans and clowns. My apologies to clowns everywhere.

Total arrogance and ignorance, and she is a physician? God help us.

1) What's wrong with wild animals?

2) That's still better than what I would say about her.

3) But I am a lady, she is not. So I won't say, what I would compare her to :).

Not that I'd ever wish ill on someone, but now that she's actually shown the world her thoughts on aiding your fellow human beings... IF she were ever to find herself in a position where she needed help...I wonder if people might just tell her they can't, because, you know, she might become dependent....

I think it's about time Care 2 News gets a special section for the most more outlandish, crazy, racist, misogynous, hateful, bizarre, ... (you take your pick) statement OF THE DAY by a GOP candidate, senator or representative. There are easily one or two to enter there and to comment on each day. And it would be nice to know after a while if the candidates actually got voted in, because that is what this is all about, isn't it? Elections and who can make the most noise and can draw the most attention to himself or herself? And this lady is pretty desperate it seems, not getting enough campaign money, owing people back pay and already having to settle licence issues because she was defrauding the system.
Sounds much like the average GOP candidate to me and her attempt at drawing attention is just as average. Compared to the GOP-standard, I mean. ;-)

If we take her statements literally and extend them out - wild animals forage. Some kill their food. Does she want people on food stamps to take guns to the supermarkets and forage and kill to eat? Based on what we see many Republicans doing, maybe she does. I don't.

As usual this has gone right over the heads of liberals. What she's saying is, people grow dependent on freebies when there are no incentives for them to change their circumstances. No one said those who need our help shouldn't get it. Please at least try to do a little critical thinking. Majority of Americans have no problem helping those who truly can not help themselves. Unfortunately, there are more on assistance who shouldn't be receiving help than those who really need help. Those freeloaders make it harder to give the ones who need help all the help they deserve.

Oh, yeah, another Ron Paul type "doctor"..Physician screw thyself! Not us! .."She agreed to pay more than $14,000 after her practice was accused of submitting Medicaid claims for non-covered services for children she treated in Sioux Falls shelters."

I have to wonder why "doctors" run for political office, are they inept as doctors? You know the old adage "what do you call the person that graduated last in his class in medical school? Doctor!

We seem to always have one person defending the crazies and on this thread, it's Nancy L. So Nancy, you think there are a lot of "freeloaders" out there yet defend this Medicaid fraud? Have you checked into these freeloaders? They're military families who are without one family member because he/she is out there putting their ass on the front line for cretins such as yourself. They're innocent children who had no choice on who their parents are. They're disabled people who can't work through no fault of their own. The list goes on and on but you choose to focus on the few fraudulent cases and as I stated before, ignore the fact that this woman broke the law by enriching herself on false reports. Criminals of this type seem to be OK for people like you.

Yes I do think there are a lot of freeloaders. I did say I have no problem helping those who need help. I guess you missed that part of my post.
