Indiscriminate targeting of civilian areas is against international law. And yet the U.S. and other countries are supplying weapons to Israel, knowing that they risk fuelling the current crisis. This has to stop.

Both Hamas and the right wing Israeli Government are at fault while innocent civilians suffer. Neither side should get arms. A two state solution is the ONLY solution. The only thing coming between Muslims and Jews is an outdated fanaticism about religion. The height of stupidity is when different religions actually are willing to kill each other for a god whose existence neither one of them can prove nor disprove. It's just TOO damn stupid.

Carrie, why is it acceptable for Hamas to lob hundreds of rockets at Israel and yet you say nothing? Why do you not condemn Hamas for using their civilians as human shields ie refusing to allow them bomb shelters, to leave the area due to be attacked (they know as Israel has warned them) or because they force local civilians to stand around the house containing weapons? You have been really quiet over the incidents where rockets were stored in UNWRA schools. You even fail to note that virtually all of the dead Palestinians are not women and children as continually claimed but young healthy males aka terrorists.

Did you note that the Hamas used construction concrete to build a tunnel aimed at massacring people, including children and babies at a kibbutz? 13 terrorists were caught.

The worst bit is that 9 years ago Israel gave Gaza to the Palestinians. When they entered they found that all of the Jews had left behind 3,000 greenhouses full of fruit and flowers as well as houses to live in. Despite Israel having some 20% of Palestinians as part of their population, the Muslims declared that no Jew could live there and they are now chasing out the Christian Arabs, murdering them, raping the daughters then forcibly converting them as well as charging jizya - a tax for the right to live. Anyway, the Palestinians destroyed the greenhouses and th homes left for them. Israel is helping many of the Palestinians to replace the greenhouses and grow tomatoes etc. The idea was for free trade between each other. Arafat wouldn't allow it and now Hamas and Abbas aren't interested in it. All they want is the destruction of Israel.

But people like Carrie aren't interested in the truth, if they were they would read the Hamas Charter which begins with this in the first paragraph, "Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it" (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory). "

This is almost directly underneath, "Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious. It needs all sincere efforts. It is a step that inevitably should be followed by other steps. The Movement is but one squadron that should be supported by more and more squadrons from this vast Arab and Islamic world, until the enemy is vanquished and Allah's victory is realised."

The full text can be found here

Israel uses weapons to protect its civilians, Hamas uses civilians to protect its weapons.

If Israel lays down its weapons then it would no longer exist. When the Arabs lay down their weapons then there will be peace.

It is not acceptable for Hamas to launch rockets into Israel any more than it is right for Israel to use their army, navy, and air force to attack Palestine. It's just that when Israel starts a war and commits genocide ~ which it does regularly ~ many of you think it is their right. Murder is murder ~ regardless of who is committing it.

I can't sign! The guys are stupid! :)
Even if I say I'm outside of the US, they can't find my address! And they don't allow me to sign!
And Val is right: why I have to give phone number? Even address is too much.
I think I have enough with these stupidities...
