"Ms. Weir presents a powerful, well documented view of the Middle East today. She is intelligent, careful, and critical. American policy makers would benefit greatly from hearing her first-hand observations and attempting to answer the questions she...

Excellent video indeed, thanks! She reveals a lot of earlier history I, like many, had not known, although I 've been aware of much of it from that very website ifamericansknew.org -The Real Story of How Israel Was Created .
I've often wondered if that fateful and desastrous resolution 181 would have come to pass if Truman had listened to the many warning voices and not put his domestic(electoral) interests before national interests; perhaps enough other member states would have followed and the vote would have failed.. despite the enormous pressure and threats by the zionists. As the quote by Henry F. Grady on that website describes:
"I have had a good deal of experience with lobbies but this group started where those of my experience had ended..... I have headed a number of government missions but in no other have I ever experienced so much disloyalty”...... “in the United States, since there is no political force to counterbalance Zionism, its campaigns are apt to be decisive.” (as we can witness to this day)
Hopefully many will follow Ms Weir's call and advise at the end and do what needs to be done! If her assessment or claim that half of Congress is unhappy being an AIPAC slave is correct, then there may be a chance to change things in the future.

Thank you Carrie for posting this enlightening lecture.

To emphasize my assertion (as a reply in an other article in the c2NN by 'I am a proud Zionist' - Cal Mendelsohn, that Zionists give a damn about Jews or even care, we invite David Icke to speak: David Icke - Rothschild Zionism ...

When Netanyahu is saying 'the Palestinians are MAKING us kill them', many parallels could be drawn with this statement.
The rapist who accuses his victim of 'making him do it' or 'asking for it'; the psychologically deranged murderer who claims that he killed prostitutes 'to save them'. When it raises its ugly head in civil society, this kind of twisted psychopathic thinking provokes revulsion and is universally condemned, yet when Netanyahu employs it in relation to the Israeli attack on Gaza, it’s accepted as a reasonable argument that absolves him and his shock troops of the mass murder of civilians.

Ah, there you are Peter, I thank you very much for I too saw your link on a comment but wanted to watch it first and then promote it. I see Carrie managed to do that before I got to it. Matters not, what matters is this is on here and I hope others will promote this video as I will do so.

I truly learned a lot from this, and it's tragic to know that something we are dealing with today, and people are all dying from today, started so far back in the 1880's. It is also very sad that so many have TRIED to inform to speak out and their words were ignored or careers ruined for doing so.

So for those who come onto the thread......please take the time to view and learn. Then as she states at the end it will be up to each one of us to write, call, insist that our Representatives start voting and moving into a different direction. It is well overdue and the lives of so many of us in many Countries depend upon that fact that we do this.

I HIGHLY recommend taking the time to VIEW this video. I know, an hour but sometimes we just have to make and find the time to do something that is critically important.

Every country in the world has propaganda, that being said there are many news stations that will not post the news as it is really is. One has to watch a variety of news from the alternative news networks and European countries as well to get the full story. Thank you for posting this!

A little off topic, but, ...
This interview is not new but was new to me, maybe we all should know:

'US lawmakers forced to support Israel' - Cynthia McKinney
Former US lawmaker Cynthia McKinney says every candidate for Congress has to sign a pledge to vote for supporting the military superiority of Israel.

Thank You Carrie for posting and Evelyn for the link. The US is bought and paid for by 6 super corporations. They alone decide what we see and how we see it and slanted to their self interests. It really pissed me off when the speaker talked about Israel planning to aim for the eyes and knees of Palestinians. This inhumanity and occupation must end. It also really upset me that Israel never paid Palestinians for their land which was originally the plan. Everyone should take the time to learn the facts to prevent us from buying into Corporate Propaganda against the Palestinians.

Thanks much for this video. It certainly speaks to the understanding one can gain if he/she is simply concerned with the well-being of any human beings as opposed to having unquestioning loyalty to any certain group.

This truthful report is exactly how we here in Australia hear it. Our journalists are renowned for their honest reporting.

Wish it were more so in our Corporate Media here in the USA, Shirley. We have some Independent Journalism and various smaller media venues that do a good job, but unfortunately too few get to read or see them.

U.S. mainstream media is complicit in the dehumanization of Palestinians, and has been for decades. Between that and the slanted reporting, it amounts to an ingrained racism against Palestinians. Another thing is that the U.S. media doesn't inform it's viewers and subscribers is that they routinely comply with Israeli censorship. That disclaimer should be carried on every story they have that covers this conflict.

I',m sorry, but when did we agree to Israeli censorship and propaganda? NEVER!!! However our government did and now we are tied to the unethical, murdering, blood thirsty Israeli Jews murdering Palestinians for their own warped self interests.
