Here are some responses to the Palestinian Authority's surprise move to sign a treaty giving it access to the ICC, which followed on the heels of the UN Security Council rejecting Palestine's resolution to end the Israeli occupation within three years.

thx CarrieI. I prefer to skip those reactions from probably people and parties who do not matter in this regard.
The only reaction of value will come out of the Hague when we will learn if the prosecutor's office will take up the charge and present it to the prosecutor, Ms Bensouda.

What is the overall function of the International Criminal Court, and who are members of it?

I wonder why the USA try to broker a peace-deal between Israel and Palestine and on the other hand do whatever they can to support Israel?

how many posts about arabs on jewish lands show up on this site now?
c2c has runs like that. remember when it was pitbulls? what is it with this propensity to lover child killers?
there is hardly a difference between hamas and a pitbull when it comes to a child.
forget two state yo. that be dead. get those arabs out. the zionist might not have the power to destroy the world a bunch of times like us and russia, but it can do it once. and that's really all it takes. the zionist plays in the dark, and plays there very well. they can, and will deliver there bombs anywhere on this planet and the moon. and they don't need anybody.
two state be dead.

If Palistine is accepted into the ICC and the ICC moves forward with charger of crimes againt humanity Naming Israieli leaders could the charges then be extended to those that helped[read supplied] Israiel?.mmmmmmm this could get very volitile extreamely quick. No wonder the reaction from the states,if only a strongly worded press release for now. As many many people would be facing possible prosecution should my mussings here be true

Israel has a right to protect their country from terrorists. They are surrounded by them. As long as Gaza is being run by a terrorist group they won't win anything. They will continue to lose and foreign aid will stop until they clean up their act. That is the way it works. No one is stepping in to help them. There's a reason for that. Hamas wants to destroy Israel and they can't. Meanwhile, the Palestinians live in squalor and their children's needs are being ignored. Their answer: bring in a terrorist group. Hamas' main objective is to get rid of Israel instead of doing what is best for their own people first. They need to concentrate on bringing back some semblance of order in Gaza for the people and their children instead of more arms and tunnels to defeat a country that is impossible to defeat. Once the Palestinians show their strength to build a better life for their people perhaps others will take them seriously and make good on their pledge to send aid to them only when they can see that the aid actually goes to help the families to have a better life rather than arm Hamas who are fighting a losing battle with Israel.

If the people of Gaza were being respected, and getting health care, schools, hospitals, work, their homes back....some semblance of freedom and equality, there wouldn't be this issue. DOn't forget, the Palestinians were forced out of their homes in one day, forced to leave everything so incoming Jews from around the world could walk into their homes and live there. Palestinians were displaced. They lost their homes, communities, gardens, orchards, holy shrines, their way of life. Suddenly they became refugees. they are still basially living in refugee camps. Life in Gaza is polar opposite to life in Israel. Despite UN resolutions, Paliestinians are still being held hostage in their own territory. Israel continues to build illegal in the west bank, while Palestinians see their opportunity for statehood disappearing. It is a very tragic situation for the people of Gaza. They are people, just like you and me, like your kids, the children there want to play, to learn in school, to feel safe when they go to bed at night. to have a bed! and have food to eat, water to drink....please put your self in their position before making aggressive comments against all Palestinians.
