The nuclear deal with Iran actually offers Israel new opportunities, by pushing aside the ongoing focus on the nuclear threat and concentrating on resolving the conflict with the Palestinians.

First: Mr. Netanyahu needs to be replaced by new, fresh younger blood. Even perhaps a female.

Agreed, Betsy. SHOULD is the operative word here, and we all know that somehow doesn't translate into Hebrew. And Darren is right too: unless Netanyahu is booted out and a new government is in place the exact opposite is going to happen. Netanyahu can and will never admit that Iran is no longer a threat/ has long not been the threat to Israel that he made it out to be and will rather risk a war in the region against Iran than to allow his "evil archenemy" to be taken away from him as a threat used to keep Israelis afraid and behind him.

Noted. Thanks, Carrie.
Yes, they should resolve it. It took many, many months and lots of work to get this done; despite the naysayers and interlopers.

Pigs will fly when the Iran threat IS off the table and hamas agrees to sit at a peace conference.

Akiva Eldar is a Haaretz lunatic.

I am surprised that Al-Monitor, usually a thinking though obviously biased newspaper, hired such a person to write editorials.

Obama made the Iran stronger and Iranian threat more dangerous to Israel, Arab Sunni countries and even West.

Hundred Billions of dollars that Iran gets will spend to support Palestinian Arab terror.

How on Earth Eldar can link it to peace making is a puzzle. May be Eldar should learn real life before clicking a button "Print".

The threat of Iran is STILL on the table as is the threat of Hamas and other terrorist organisations dedicated to the destruction of Israel.

carrie, why do you never condemn the ongoing attacks on Israel by hamas? With these ongoing attacks, why should Israel negotiate? why do you not condemn hamas when they continually breach cease fires? Do yu care?

Obviously a lot more than you, given your relatively young age, if your profile is anything to go by. One hopes that the forceful intellectual energy and anger that you demonstrate will be cultivated in a positive way as the years go by.

Darren: "One hopes that the forceful intellectual energy and anger that you demonstrate will be cultivated in a positive way as the years go by. "

Darren, I am losing a hope with such cultivation regarding youself, considering your more advanced age.

I did not lose such hope regarding Carrie, because I didn't have it in the first place.

Penny, the Hudna that Kerry signed make the threat worse and Iranian mullahs stronger.

Carrie has her own agenda and she won't deviate from it.

Arab propaganda machine has a well defined route.

This assumes the Iran threat is off the table, and that the ball for resolving Palestinian issues is never in the Palestinians' court.

Benny Netty is a War Monger, who has a sense of "Entitlement!" He has absolutely NO desire to ever make peace with Palestine!! It hardly takes a rocket scientist to be able to see that! I utterly despise the ground that Fool walks on!

Darren,

You did not answer my question above, see if you can.

On your latest post: I do not have an agenda, and your guess was wrong.

I understand that you want to defend Carrie, but your task is tough: I don't post tens of posts every day and I did not say that I had an agenda.

I don't say that you have an agenda to follow even though you almost always promote Carrie's posts no matter what hateful garbage that could be. For exactly these two reasons as well.

Let's be correct and polite to each other.
