Farming absolutely but do we really need more cattle ranches with the awful deaths these animals face or the methane or the wolf slaughter that results. We should be eating much less meat protein not encouraging young people to perpetuate its production.

I would love to see government subsidies go to start up sustainable farms, but there is no such thing as sustainable ranching. Cattle destroy the land they graze, and raising them to kill them is murder. That is not sustainability.

Agribusiness needs to be put out of business, and taking away their huge government subsidies is the way to do it. Much better to give the money to small farmers who want to keep the land fertile, not take everything out of the soil and leave barren dust bowls behind.
