It is sad to see so much traditionally farmable land sacrificed by individual farmers in order to earn respectable livelihoods in competition with the corruption of big business involvement interested in profit only.

Signed, not that it'll do any good. Nebraska is primarily agriculture, and anything that negatively impacts the big farming operations is not gonna get passed by these a-holes.

And Johanns and Smith are gonna feel they have to write me back. Just think--more dead trees so these two smug b*****ds can tell me, "Thank you for your input, but I don't agree."

Thank Nancy , Going back to the local Mom and Pop general stores and groceries is the way to go like it was before the 60's .We had options for local low cost food without high transport fees and an industrial carbon imprint, It wasn't just a few distributors socializing and monopolizing the food supply in the interests of a couple corrupt sociopath entities .They today dictate what we eat like with the lowest possible standards and the highest cost from the most oppressive places they can get from. We can eat better, cheaper and a higher profit and savings for all if we stop supporting corporate food. Really wonderful Bill that can really help fix things!

Send a Green Star to Betsy Reiss
Sending a Green Star is a simple way to say "Thank you"
You cannot currently send a star to Betsy because you have done so within the last week.

Excellent idea - improves jobs, cuts down on food miles, improves local appreciation of food, improves local accountability of foods and thus standards.
