Farming is both the lowest and highest trade; food grows in dirt and everyone eats. Farmers should have access to quality crops and no pseudo patent from some corporation whose research farm pollen blows over into neighbouring farms should have any say in the matter whatsoever. If anything, those farmers should sue the corporation for not containing their poison pollen! Void Monsanto's seed and crop patents, ban 'one shot' seeds (so farmers can manage their own seed stock for replanting), and give our farmers and their productivity its due!

Monsanto should be charged with crimes against humanity, have their assets seized, their executives sent to jail. They are effectively acting as an organized crime empire targeting the world's farmers & food supply. They have done more harm than any so-called terrorist organization on earth, and all for profit. They are the lowest of the low, they should be liquidated and their shareholders get NOTHING for funding this disgusting criminal empire.

Nick S. Seriously......There are lots of news articles on C2, read a few, learn something, and still get the butterfly credits to help others. I hope you at least signed this petition and learned something about Monsanto.

Dandelion G. (383)
Thursday February 23, 2012, 9:44 am
I perhaps should of looked first but Nick S. has himself as a 14 year old boy, while I stand with what I said, I do appreciate the young man at least coming onto a social justice network, I hope he'll move beyond just the butterfly credits. We need the young people of the world to join together in saving the environment, I'm sorry that our generation didn't do so well by you, so learn, educate yourself, and become involved, active, and I do hope you are sucessful in the turning back this destructive tide.

Eddie O. (95)

This is so incredibly ridiculous that Monsanto can sue people if their genetically modified seeds infiltrate other people's farms. It is Monsanto who it massively in the wrong here and needs to be sued every time any of their seeds contaminate anyone else's crops!!!

And, Nick, thank you for coming on to this site and attaining some butterfly credits. I do hope you use them to do some good for some less fortunate people on this beautiful planet of ours. As you hopefully already realize, a major part of the real benefit here is in voicing your feelings, becoming a vocal part of the community, and helping other people open their eyes, hearts, and voices for the sake of positive change in this world of ours.

Obviously, there are many people who are extremely selfish and willing to destroy our environment and planet for the sake of their own greed. And, there are others that just don't see or know what's going on, or feel hopeless to create any real change.

It's our job, and responsibility, to try to educate these people and win them over to the side of; good, compassion, wisdom, sanity, honesty, equality, and all the other aspects of society that can use major improvement.

Thank you again, Nick, for venturing into this social network of really good people who are trying their best to make this a more sane, healthy, happier, world in which we live. I will look forward to some educated, heart-felt, posts from you and your contributions toward a better world.
