95 percent of our health care dollars go to urgent care with five percent going to prevention. If we don't demand health freedom we will lose it. government has systematically maneuvered to make pharma medicine a powerful and profitable monopoly. medical freedom has been simply assumed. Dr Benjamin Rush proposed that these rights should be specifically laid out in our constitution: "The Constitution of this Republic should make special provision for medical freedom. to restrict the art of healing to one class will constitute the bastille of medical science. all such laws are un-American and despotic." ....knowledge is not power its empowering lets be empowered. wake the sheeple
life has value beyond measure

Noted and signed... Why doesn't the FDA just stick to making sure that the Big Pharma Drugs they authorize don't kill people??

Are we talking vitamins in pill form, here? They are worthless, expensive, and unnecessary. Read T. Colin Campbell's "The China Study," or watch the film "Forks Over Knives" if you really want to know how to be healthy through nutrition. Basically, eat mostly whole foods like fresh fruits and vegetables raw or lightly cooked, beans, legumes, and reduce animal protein (meat and dairy) to at most a couple of times per week. And don't forget to exercise regularly!

sig ned - the big drug companies just keep trying to be the only ones to decide options for our well-being, which means using their drugs.

Donald "Basically, eat mostly whole foods like fresh fruits and vegetables raw or lightly cooked..." Are you aware that due to depletion from heavy repeated use of most agricultural land, the amount of vitamins and minerals found in fresh fruits and vegetables today is much less than 50 yrs. ago? Therefore the need for supplements. I don't also don't agree 'vitamins in pill form are worthless'. Not true in my opinion, unless you're simply talking about a multi-vitamin pill. Separate pills or tablets for each vitamin, especially if natural source, and chelated where possible, work.

It took the FDA 13 YEARS before they put blackbox warning labels on psychiatric drugs regarding side-effects such as suicidal thoughts, violent behaviour, cardiac arrest, etc., and that was only due to intense pressure. Plus these side-effects had been known all along by the manufacturers (Big Pharma).

Kenneth L is right - many soils are depleted of trace minerals which are essential to our health - and if you suffer from long-term ill-health/long-term stress then you are also likely to have a lack of minerals and vitamins which can manifest themselves in interesting ways! Chelated/Food State minerals are more expensive - but they do work much better than the cheaper variety.

The Tea Party Republican GOP just never stops wanting bigger government intervention in our private lives. CONTROL is at the top of their list of priorities.
